Quick answer: Boats and zeppelins have been getting “lost in the maelstrom”. Go to the usual dock or zeppelin tower and click the temporary portal there to reach the other continent.
Why boats and zeppelins stopped arriving in WoW Forever
World of Warcraft: Forever launched on November 4, 2026, at 23:00 UTC. Soon after, transports between continents started failing. You walk out to a dock or climb a zeppelin tower and wait for many minutes. The horn sounds, but no boat or zeppelin shows up.
Blizzard confirmed the bug on its official forums on November 5, 2026, at 06:39 UTC. In Blizzard’s words, boats and zeppelins were becoming “lost in the maelstrom” for long stretches. The same post said temporary portals had been spawned so players could keep moving between continents, and that a proper fix was on the way.

The portals are positioned at the places you already use for transport: by most transport docks and within the zeppelin towers. There’s no need to learn a different route.
What happens to the portals after the fix
The portals are a stopgap. Blizzard plans to remove them once the proper fix for lost transports is verified as working. When that happens, boats and zeppelins become the way across again. You will go back to waiting at the dock or in the tower for your ride.
