Quick answer: Blizzard plans class hotfixes on Tuesday, 10 November 2026. Hunter pets and Voidwalkers get sturdier, Affliction DoTs become worth casting alongside Wrack, and Strength becomes Enhancement Shaman’s best stat.
Blizzard is lining up its first round of class hotfixes for World of Warcraft: Forever. Community Manager Kaivax posted “Class Tuning Incoming – November 10” on the official forums on 6 November 2026, and it covers three problems: pet tanks that fold too quickly, an Affliction rotation that ignores its own damage-over-time spells, and Enhancement Shamans chasing caster gear.
Hunter pets and Warlock Voidwalkers: tanking durability
Hunter pets and Warlock Voidwalkers don’t hold up as tanks the way Blizzard intended. The goal is for them to perform roughly as they do in Classic Era, and Blizzard will tune their stats as needed to get there.
Both pets already work differently in WoW Forever. Hunter pets gain extra stats from the Hunter’s gear and can no longer take player buffs that raise their stats. Warlock pets scale from their summoner’s stats.

Wrack is the new 31-point Affliction talent. It deals Shadow damage every second, and it makes the target take 10% more damage from the Warlock’s other Shadow damage-over-time effects for 6 seconds. It was built to be the go-to spell whenever you aren’t reapplying DoTs or firing off instant Shadow Bolts from Nightfall.

It works too well. Players report that channeling Wrack nonstop beats weaving in Siphon Life, Corruption and Bane of Agony. Blizzard will adjust things so those three spells are always worth casting alongside Wrack, and it intends to do that without changing Affliction’s total damage output.
Enhancement Shaman stats: Strength over Spell Power
For Enhancement Shamans, Intellect and Spell Power are proving more valuable than Strength and Attack Power, leaving this melee build seeking equipment made for Mages and Warlocks.

Blizzard’s fix is to make Strength always Enhancement’s strongest stat. The ideal Enhancement item would carry Strength or Attack Power, with some Intellect and/or Spell Power on top. Caster cloth stops being the target.
When the WoW Forever class hotfixes go live
The changes are planned for Tuesday, 10 November 2026. Blizzard hasn’t announced a specific time.
Blizzard plans to make more balance changes on later Tuesdays if needed. It also noted that new issues could turn up over the weekend and said it will keep players posted.
What to do before the 10 November hotfix
Only one of the three changes comes with direct advice from Blizzard, and it’s aimed at Shamans. Here’s how each change affects your plans before Tuesday.
- Enhancement Shaman: if you’re leveling, start collecting and keeping Strength and Attack Power gear now. Hold on to pieces that pair Strength or Attack Power with some Intellect or Spell Power.
- Affliction Warlock: once the change lands, Siphon Life, Corruption and Bane of Agony should be worth casting together with Wrack. Your total damage stays the same.
- Hunters and Warlocks using a pet or Voidwalker for tanking: these stat adjustments are intended to match durability in Classic Era.
For Enhancement players, the takeaway is straightforward. Any caster gear you pick up now won’t be your best option after Tuesday.
