VV: Ultimatum Quincy Progression – Soldat Cap to Schrift

Every milestone, material, and boss fight that takes a Quincy from Level 25 to a fully unlocked Schrift.

Every milestone, material, and boss fight that takes a Quincy from Level 25 to a fully unlocked Schrift.

Quincy is the most straightforward race to level in VV: Ultimatum because its path runs on a clear mission loop rather than heavy weapon crafting. Progression opens at Level 25 and ends when you defeat a solo boss to claim your Schrift. Everything in between depends on completing Lieutenant missions and reporting them correctly.

Quick answer: Reach Level 25 for the Soldat Cap, complete Lieutenant missions and press Report Task each time, craft the Sanrei Glove for 300 Soul Tokens plus three materials, run 3 to 5 meditations at 70 Max Reiatsu to unlock Letzt Stil, then defeat the Securis boss in the Arctic Plains to receive your Schrift.

Quincy progression milestones in VV: Ultimatum

Each stage is gated behind the previous one, so you cannot skip ahead. The sequence runs from the Soldat Cap through the Sanrei Glove, then the Evolved Spirit Weapon and Letzt Stil, and finally the Schrift after the boss fight.

MilestoneRequirement
Soldat CapReach Level 25
Sanrei GloveComplete enough Lieutenant missions, then craft the glove
Evolved Spirit Weapon / Letzt StilContinue missions and meditations after the Sanrei Glove
SchriftDefeat Securis in the Arctic Plains

Tip: Start your Lieutenant missions the moment you hit Level 25. Grinding mobs without taking quests does not move the progression bar.

Complete Lieutenant missions and report them

Lieutenant missions are the main route forward. Press L to open the mission board and accept an assignment. Each mission carries a star rating from 1 to 3, and higher stars mean more difficulty and more progression EXP.

There is a 5-minute cooldown between missions, so picking the fastest task and waiting out the timer is the most efficient loop. After finishing a mission, press L again and choose Progress Report to check your status. Never select Get New Task, because that resets your cooldown.

The Lieutenant’s dialogue tells you how close you are. “The job’s still not done yet” means keep going, “You’re getting close” means you are nearly done, and “The higher-ups will be happy… Report later for more tasks” means the mission is complete.

Note: Finishing a mission does not grant EXP on its own. You must return to the Lieutenant and press Report Task specifically. Talking to the Lieutenant without selecting Report Task gives you nothing.

Craft the Sanrei Glove (300 Soul Tokens)

After enough missions, the Lieutenant prompts you to obtain the Sanrei Glove. Travel to the Wandenreich and find the NPC selling the recipe, which costs 300 Soul Tokens. Once you have the recipe, gather the three materials below. Equipping the glove changes your L key to Meditate.

MaterialHow to get it
Broken Quincy MedallionDropped by lance-throwing NPCs in the Wandenreich, or by defeating the Legion boss
Frost AlloyCrafted from three components
2 Strange EssencesDrop material from special Hollows

Strange Essence

Strange Essence drops from light blue Hollows that look different from standard variants. The fastest farming spot is the waterfall near spawn in Society Outskirts. Walk out of spawn, go inside the waterfall, and the Hollows spawn there in a guaranteed location.

Frost Alloy

Frost Alloy is crafted from three components.

ComponentHow to get it
Frost Deviant ShardKill Rogue Quincy Archers (red hats, red outfit, bow) near the AirWalk tower
Great Soul EssenceCombine 5 regular Soul Essences dropped by Hollows in the Outskirts
Spirit AlloyBuy from the merchant inside the Arctic Town

Broken Quincy Medallion

This is the hardest material and where most players stall. There are two ways to get it. The Rogue Quincy Commander spawns in the Arctic Plains near the large gate at the entrance, then wanders the map with an army of Quincy soldiers, and the medallion is a guaranteed drop if you beat him. Alternatively, the same red-hat Rogue Quincy Archers can drop it, but the rate is estimated at around 1% or lower.

Unlock Letzt Stil through meditation

With the Sanrei Glove equipped and Meditate available, keep running Lieutenant missions until the Lieutenant prompts the meditation step. At this stage you need to complete 3 to 5 meditations at 70 Max Reiatsu.

Meditate and let your Reiatsu bar drain fully. Wait for it to recover, then meditate again, repeating the loop alongside your missions.
Watch for the moment your Reiatsu bar stops dropping all the way down. That change signals Reiatsu control is progressing.
When the Lieutenant says something like “You’re making progress… you might need more experience. Perhaps you should fight strong enemies,” go fight NPCs to push through. Once the Lieutenant signals you are ready, Letzt Stil activates, and you can collect Reishi beyond your normal limit. Popping it during combat also restores HP.

Defeat Securis and unlock your Schrift

After Letzt Stil, the Lieutenant eventually hands you a final mission about a Shinigami that has been killing Quincy soldiers somewhere in the Arctic Plains. This is the Securis boss, and it is a solo encounter you cannot fight with other players.

Securis has a learnable attack pattern and is squishy once you read his moves, though going in blind can take roughly 20 or more attempts. Popping Letzt Stil during the fight restores HP, which helps you survive. After the kill, return to the Lieutenant and complete around three more missions, all 2-star or 3-star at this point. Pick the easiest ones, and farming Menos Grande works well since they are easy stat-checks by now.

You know it worked when the Lieutenant says “You have fully understood this power. You no longer require the glove to reach it. Turn your foes to ash.” Your Schrift unlocks at that line; you lose the Sanrei Glove, and you receive 5 rerolls on first unlock for multiple shots at a strong option.

Note: Schrift typically unlocks around Level 69-70 through normal progression. You do not need to be in Letzt Stil mode to use it. Hold Control with your weapon out to activate the Schrift ability. Necromancer and Superstar are the strongest options to aim for during rerolls.

Best stat priorities for Quincy

You get 100 skill points to spend, and the biggest mistake is spreading them across several trees. Commit to one focus, because resetting after Level 20 requires either a one-time Robux purchase (around 1,000 Robux) or crafting a Stat Reset Token from endgame materials. One free reset is available before Level 20.

StatEffectPriority
ReservesIncreases Reiatsu poolHighest
PotencyIncreases damage outputHigh
HazeDecreases skill cooldownsGood for ability-heavy builds

ShoMovement speed and shunpo staminaNiche speedster builds

The cleanest run keeps you on a single mission loop the whole way through. Report every task immediately, prioritize 3-star missions to move the bar faster, and avoid PvP detours until the Sanrei Glove is done. Stick to that rhythm and the Soldat Cap, glove, Letzt Stil, and Schrift all fall into place in order.
