The Sanguine Twin is a pair of dual blades that Soul can pick up early in Phantom Blade Zero. You don’t have to fight anyone for them. They sit in the open along a stream in Weeping Creek Valley during Chapter 1, “AGAINST THE FLOW”, so you only need to know which rack to walk up to. It is one of the weapons in Phantom Blade Zero you get without a fight.

Quick answer: Go to Weeping Creek Valley in Chapter 1. The Sanguine Twin is on a wooden weapon rack at the foot of the ladder cliff below the “First Meeting with Yu’er” bell. Press E to take it.

Where to find the Sanguine Twin

Enter the rocky gorge in Weeping Creek Valley and make your way along the stream bed. Soul remarks that the Sanguine was copied into a pair of blades; this points to a nearby weapon pickup, with no enemy encounter involved.

Follow the watercourse until a shattered cart wheel comes into view among the rocks. Use it as your landmark.

Beyond the cart wheel, the gorge meets a high cliff. At the base, find a wooden weapon rack; two glowing blades are planted behind it. Beside the rack, a brazier burns atop a post, and a tall wooden ladder climbs the cliff face. Approach the rack to bring up the “E” prompt.

At the top of the ladder, the ledge holds a camp with crates, jars, and a brazier hanging overhead, along with the bell “First Meeting with Yu’er”. Its icon on the Weeping Creek Valley map is right over the cart wheel and ladder.

How to pick up and equip the Sanguine Twin

Stand at the weapon rack and press E. A weapon card opens that shows “Dual-Wield” and “SANGUINE TWIN”, along with Damage 200 and Guard Break 100.

Confirm the card’s question, “Equip the new weapon now?”, by pressing Space.
The slot selector shows Sanguine in one slot, while the other displays “EMPTY / Equip a weapon here”. Choose that vacant slot, then hold Space for about 2 seconds to equip the weapon; tapping Space quickly will not work.

You’ll know it worked when Soul draws the twin blades and a new bubble reads “Press [1] to switch weapons!” The weapon icon in the bottom-right corner also shows “1.” Press 1 to switch weapons between the Sanguine Twin and Sanguine.
