Ice Serpent in Grow a Garden 2: How to Get the Super Pet

The frost-breathing Super pet only comes from guild leaderboard rewards, and your harvest timing decides whether it counts.

The frost-breathing Super pet only comes from guild leaderboard rewards, and your harvest timing decides whether it counts.

The Ice Serpent is a Super-rarity pet in Grow a Garden 2, added on June 12, 2026. When it’s set as an active pet, it flies around your garden and breathes frost on intruders, freezing them solid. That freeze stops thieves cold rather than just chipping away at their health, which is why it ranks as the strongest theft-defense option in the game.

Quick answer: You can only earn the Ice Serpent by placing in the top 100 of the global guild leaderboard. Grow heavy bamboo while solo, join a guild, then harvest your heaviest plant so its weight counts toward your guild’s event score.

How the Ice Serpent is obtained

The pet is handed out as a guild reward at the center-map event, where players score points by harvesting their heaviest crops. Every gram of harvested weight becomes one point for your guild. Only guilds that finish in the top 100 earn a variant of the Ice Serpent, and your exact reward depends on where your guild lands on the leaderboard.

#2Huge Ice Serpent
#3Big Rainbow Ice Serpent
#4–10Big Ice Serpent
#11–25Rainbow Ice Serpent
#26–100Ice Serpent

There is no Sheckle or Robux purchase that grants the pet directly. The only Robux cost in the whole process is creating your own guild, and joining an existing one is free.

What you need before you start

  • Bamboo seeds, which appear in the shop very frequently and are available to everyone.
  • The common, uncommon, and rare sprinklers at minimum. The legendary and the 3,000-cost super sprinkler help but are optional.
  • Deer pets, if you own any. Each active Deer speeds plant growth by 10%, so five active Deer means 50% faster bamboo.

Grow a heavy bamboo and harvest it inside a guild

Buy as much bamboo as you can from the shop. It’s cheap, common, and grows large enough to score real points, which makes it the most reliable plant to farm for this event.
Gather your sprinklers. Collecting one each of the common, uncommon, and rare sprinklers is enough. You do not need the legendary or super to grow a plant heavy enough to climb a guild leaderboard.
Equip every Deer pet you own so the growth boost stacks. With several active, bamboo grows almost instantly, letting you cycle through far more plants in the same time.
Place a single sprinkler of each rarity you have. One of each is plenty to cover the planting area with a growth boost.
Surround the sprinklers with bamboo on every side and spam-plant by clicking repeatedly. The more seeds you plant, the better your odds of rolling a heavy crop.
Keep planting until a heavy bamboo appears. Around 40 kg is the average weight guilds look for, and an 80–100 kg plant makes you a highly desirable contributor. Do not harvest it yet.
Join a guild first, then harvest your heaviest bamboo. The moment you collect it while in a guild, its weight is credited to your guild’s score. You never have to deliver the plant anywhere.

Why harvest timing decides your score

The event only tallies plants harvested while you are already in a guild. A crop you collect before joining counts for nothing, so a 31 kg bamboo pulled while solo is wasted weight. Leave your biggest plant standing in the garden until your guild membership is confirmed, then harvest it.

Smaller bamboo you roll along the way isn’t wasted either. Harvest and sell those, since farming bamboo this way doubles as one of the fastest ways to make money right now.

Four ways to join a guild before harvesting

  • Create your own guild. A basic guild starts around 80 Robux with room for about 20 players, while expanding to roughly 50 slots costs closer to 2,000. A 20-person guild is badly outmatched, so only build one if you can fund the full 50.
  • Find an open lobby. Open the server list, toggle “exclude full servers,” and hop into a busy-but-open game to find players already grouped up.
  • Message existing members. Reach players through chat or by buying the sign from the shop. Grow your heavy bamboo first so they can see its size, because heavier plants get invited faster.
  • Approach top guilds directly. Open the list of leading guilds, look for one that isn’t full, like a 48/50, find the leader wearing the crown, add them on Roblox, and ask to join. If your plant outweighs their lightest member, they’ll usually let you in.

How to confirm you earned the Ice Serpent

Two things gate the reward. First, your harvest must register inside a guild, so the weight has to be collected after you join, not before. Second, your guild has to finish in the top 100. The higher you place, the better the variant, scaling from a standard Ice Serpent at #26–100 up to a Huge Rainbow Ice Serpent at #1.

Joining a guild alone does not guarantee the pet. Low-effort members can be swapped out to make room for heavier contributors, so keep adding weight once you’re in. The most common reason players miss out is harvesting their best plant while still solo, which never reaches the leaderboard at all.

Once it’s yours, the Ice Serpent earns its spot as a top-tier defensive pet. Unlike fire-breathing options that only apply damage thieves can heal off, its frost freezes intruders in place, giving non-AFK players time to hear and intercept anyone raiding the garden.
