Division 2 Into the Dark Scout 2 Manhunt Solutions (Y8S2)

The second Scout step in Year 8 Season 2 of The Division 2 pulls the Manhunt into the reworked Dark Zone, and it splits into three clues that each point to one activity. Work through them in order and the Manhunt advances another step toward the season finale.

Quick answer: Finish two hostile open-world activities anywhere on the map, sell 10 items at the Dark Zone West safe house gun locker, then complete one extraction in any Dark Zone.

Scout 2 clues and objectives

Each riddle resolves into a single concrete task. None of them are locked to a specific district, so you can pick the fastest version of each. Here is what each clue means.

Complete two hostile open-world activities

Hostile open-world activities are the red event icons that appear in enemy-controlled zones across the map. Any two of them count, and the type or region does not matter, so choose whatever sits closest to you.

Qualifying activities include Aerial Recon, Elite Patrol, Propaganda Broadcast, Public Execution, Settlement Blockade, Supply Convoy, and Territory Control. Public Execution and Propaganda Broadcast tend to finish quickest if you are short on time.

Open the map and look for a red activity icon in any enemy-held region. Travel to it and clear the encounter.

Repeat once more so you have completed two activities in total. Any in-game difficulty counts toward the objective.

Note: Some players see this objective ask for three hostile activities instead of two. If your tracker shows three, simply complete one extra activity to clear it.

Sell 10 items at the Dark Zone West safe house

The Georgetown supply clue points to the Dark Zone West safe house in the northwest section of the map. As long as you have cleared the campaign, this safe house is already active.

Fast travel to the Dark Zone in the northwest and mark the single safe room in the middle of the zone. Head inside to the gun locker positioned next to one of the entrances.

Interact with the gun locker and sell any 10 weapons or gear pieces. The rarity and value of the items do not matter, and gear earned from normal missions works fine.

Complete one extraction in any Dark Zone

The final clue asks you to recover and extract gear from a Dark Zone. For the safest run, pick the Dark Zone marked with the Toxicity symbol. That zone is a PvE space for the duration of Into the Dark, so no other players can kill you for your loot.

Enter the toxic Dark Zone and open chests at the landmarks. These drop loot to extract and also a Stabilization Agent, which you need before you can call a helicopter.

Move to any extraction area and call the helicopter. A powerful Rogue Agent spawns when you do, so keep your distance and keep firing until it goes down.

Attach your loot to the helicopter rope to finish the extraction. You can also hook your gear onto ropes called by other players, so hang around an active extraction if you want backup.

How to confirm Scout 2 is complete

Once all three tasks register, the Scout clues mark as complete on the Manhunt screen and progress ticks forward. The Climax mission that closes out the season still sits ahead, so you continue chasing weekly Scout steps until it unlocks.
