Pokémon Pokopia Wish Upon a Jirachi Event Rewards and Costs

Every star-themed item Jirachi sells, what each costs, and the four pieces the habitat needs.

Jirachi has set up a trading counter inside Pokémon Pokopia, and it is handing out star-themed furniture in exchange for a currency you can only earn while the event is running. The Wish Upon a Jirachi event is live from June 23 until July 8, 2026, ending at 4:59 a.m. local time, and once it closes the shop disappears. There are 10 items to collect, plus one hidden bonus, and the whole set is cheap to clear if you keep granting wishes.

Quick answer: Every item in Jirachi’s shop costs one shining wish note. You need 4 notes to build the Surrounded by Stars habitat, 10 to buy one of every item, and spending 7 notes total unlocks the secret Shooting Stars Photo Frame.

What you need before Jirachi shows up

Jirachi only appears in towns that have a rebuilt Pokémon Center, so you have to progress far enough to befriend Bulbasaur and restore your first center before the event will trigger. The game also checks the real-world date through an internet connection, which means time travel does not work here. If your system clock sits outside the June 23 to July 8 window, the event simply will not run.

Make sure your software is updated to Ver. 1.1.0, then launch the game while connected to the internet. The event does not happen on Cloud Islands. You can still trigger it as late as July 8 if you finish a town’s important requests and rebuild its Pokémon Center on that final day. Pokémon you befriend during the event stay in your town permanently after it ends.

How shining wish notes work

Talking to Jirachi near a Pokémon Center befriends it and hands you the recipe for wish notes. You craft those notes at a workbench, and each one needs two Vine Ropes. A plain wish note is not the currency you spend, though. It is the seed for the real currency.

When a town Pokémon shows a speech bubble asking for an item, fulfill that request while you have a wish note in your inventory. Completing the request gives you the usual reward plus a shining wish note. Despite the tutorial wording, you do not need to be physically holding the note when you approach the Pokémon; having one in your bag is enough. Requests you started before the event began will not pay out a shining wish note, since you never handed a wish note over for them.

If new requests are slow to appear, let some time pass in-game and more will pop up. Carry these shining wish notes to any restored Pokémon Center and exchange them at Jirachi’s counter.

All Wish Upon a Jirachi event items and costs

Jirachi stocks 10 items, and every single one costs one shining wish note. That keeps the math simple. One copy of everything runs you 10 notes, but you will want spares of a few pieces if you also plan to build the habitat and decorate elsewhere.

Surrounded by Stars habitat requirements

If you want Jirachi to move in permanently, you have to assemble the Surrounded by Stars habitat. It uses four of the shop items, which means a minimum of four shining wish notes.

  • Star Closet x1
  • Starry-Sky Bed x1
  • Cloud Table x1
  • Jirachi Lamp x1

One easy-to-miss requirement closes out the build. The Jirachi Lamp must be connected to electricity for the habitat to register as complete, so wire up a power source before you expect it to finish. Jirachi takes up residence in the habitat once the event wraps after July 8.

Note: Because some pieces serve double duty in the habitat and as standalone decor, pick up extras of the closet, bed, table, and lamp if you want to style other rooms without dismantling Jirachi’s home.

Shooting Stars Photo Frame bonus

There is an eleventh reward that never appears on Jirachi’s trading table. Once you have spent seven shining wish notes on event items, Jirachi gives you the Shooting Stars Photo Frame. It is not a piece of furniture. It is a frame you apply when taking pictures inside the game, so it lives in the camera options rather than your inventory.

Why shining wish notes are not dropping

If wishes aren’t converting into shining wish notes, it is almost always one of these reasons:

  • You started the Pokémon’s request before the event began, so no wish note was handed over.
  • You had no wish note in your inventory when accepting the request. Craft more at a workbench using two Vine Ropes each.
  • No new requests are showing yet. Let in-game time pass and fresh speech bubbles will appear.

You have two full weeks to grind out notes, which is more than enough time to clear all 10 items, unlock the photo frame, and stock spares for the habitat. The event ends at 4:59 a.m. local time on July 8, and once Jirachi’s shop is gone, these items can’t be obtained anywhere else, so finish your trades before the window closes.
