Alluvion is the boss at the bottom of the Water Shrine in Chapter 3 of Final Fantasy Resonance, “Wardens of the Aquapolis”, during the objective “Go deeper into the Water Shrine”. Everything below reflects Normal difficulty.

Quick answer: At Lv. 26, Alluvion is a Humanoid enemy with 48,000 HP; Thunder is its weakness, while Water has no effect. Its Prism Cores (4,000 HP, also weak to Thunder) keep forming, and Alluvion consumes them to strengthen Graceful Deluge.

The encounter is on B2, the Water Shrine’s bottom floor, immediately beyond the boss save point. Alluvion’s attacks deal heavy damage to the entire party and can inflict Gravity, Charm and Berserk.

Where to fight Alluvion and the boss save point

Alluvion becomes accessible after you activate the seal pedestals in Area 3, Area 4 and Area 2. In Area 1, ride the octagonal lift with four blue lamps down to B2. The full route is covered in the Water Shrine walkthrough.

The lift arrives beside the B2 save point.

From its menu, choose Save progress, Rest in a tent or Teleport; this is the final save point before the boss, so heal up and save here.

Walk through the north arch past the save point and the boss scene begins automatically. A story scene with El plays, and the battle follows straight after with no way to back out. As the fight opens, Nichol says: “Alluvion… You will never be forgiven for your transgressions.” Nichol fights alongside your party as a guest and acts on his own.

Alluvion’s Libra stats, weakness and drop

Libra lists Alluvion at Lv. 26 with 48,000 HP, Type Humanoid, weak to Thunder, with Water nullified. Trait 1 reads “Power of special skill increases with each prism core.” There are no rare drops or stealable items, and the only item drop is the Azure Amulet, which is also in the Final Fantasy Resonance bosses list.

The Azure Amulet’s description is “Imbues non-elemental physical attacks with Water.” It appears in the accessories list. Because Alluvion nullifies Water, keep Water attacks out of this fight entirely.

Status effects are mostly a dead end against the boss:

  • No effect: Poison, Sleep, Confuse, Petrify, Charm, Berserk, Death, Gravity
  • Strongly resisted: Blind, Silence, Paralysis

Prism Cores and the Graceful Deluge cycle

The battle starts with the banner “Prism cores formed!” and two Prism Cores on the field, labelled A and B.

Libra shows each Prism Core at Lv. 26 with 4,000 HP, Type Fairy, weak to Thunder.

Roughly every two rounds, Alluvion says “Take this!” and the banner “Prism cores absorbed!” appears. The cores disappear and Alluvion casts Graceful Deluge on the whole party, which landed for roughly 300 to 800 per party member. Right after, “Prism cores formed!” shows again and a new pair spawns, C and D, then E and F.

Treat “Take this!” as the warning that Graceful Deluge is about to hit. Since Alluvion’s trait ties the special skill’s power to each prism core, any cores still standing at the moment of absorption make Graceful Deluge stronger.

Alluvion’s other attacks

AttackWhat it does
DrainWhole party, about 550 to 690 each
GravityHalves one party member’s HP
WaterWhole party, about 550 to 700 each
RuinCast during the fight
The Divine SignetSpecial skill with its own banner
CharmCharmed Archwitch Fina
BerserkBerserked Lid

Drain and Water both cover the entire party, so a single turn of either can take a large share of everyone’s HP at once.

Gravity targets one member and halves their current HP, taking Archwitch Fina from 1,067 to 534 in one cast.

The Divine Signet is a separate special skill announced with its own banner.

Charm and Berserk can prevent you from controlling affected party members. Two accessories address these dangers. A chest in Area 2 of the Water Shrine contains the Calm Armlet, described as “Prevents Confuse and Berserk.” The Aquatic Veil, obtained in Waterfall Way, is described as “Halves damage taken from Water attacks.”

Alluvion damage numbers with a level 23 party

The shrine door sets the recommended level at 26. Rain, Lid, Lasswell and Archwitch Fina were level 23, with Nichol joining as a guest; the numbers are as follows:

ActionResult
Rain’s Thundara (single target)“Weak +350%”, about 237 to 251
Thundara on all targets (Q)Weak on all three, about 96 each
Lightning Scroll I“Weak +200%”
Lid’s AttackAbout 174
Archwitch Fina’s CuraHeals whole party for about 290
Rain’s Infinity Drive (Bonus Phase)About 880

Thundara shows Weak +350% on Alluvion.

A single-target Thundara deals equal damage to Alluvion and a core. Selecting every target spreads the Weak hit among Alluvion and both cores, reducing each hit to about 96.

Lid’s Shellga, learned from Leah’s Skills, lowers magic damage, and Archwitch Fina’s Cura heals the whole party.

Rain’s Thundara staggered Alluvion once at around turn 20, triggering the Bonus Phase; Infinity Drive landed during that window. See the stagger guide and Limit Bursts list for details on both mechanics.

Expect a costly battle at this level: after roughly 35 turns, Alluvion still had about 85% of its HP, while all five Mist Potions and the sole Mist Ether had been used by around turn 25. At Lv. 23, this fight takes a long time, so bring plenty of Mist Potions and Ethers; the recommended level of 26 is understandable.
