Shinku opens Phase 1 on July 8, with Iroi’s banner taking over later in the patch cycle.

Version 1.2 of Neverness to Everness puts two new S-class characters on rotation, Shinku and Iroi, and the schedule is now set. Shinku, a Cosmos unit, headlines the first half, while Iroi, an Anima unit, runs in the second. Both arrive with their own signature Arcs, skins, and limited-board cosmetics.

Quick answer: NTE 1.2 begins July 8, 2026. Shinku’s banner runs July 8 to July 29, and Iroi’s banner follows from July 29 to August 19. Each phase lasts 21 days.

No specific server unlock time and timezone has been confirmed for the patch start, so plan around the standard maintenance window for your region rather than a fixed clock time.

Phase 1: Shinku banner and rewards

Shinku takes the first limited board from July 8 to July 29. She is a Cosmos character built around aggressive frontline burst damage, with a kit centered on building Fury to enter an enhanced Frenzy state and providing team energy to speed up ultimates.

Pulling on her board also hands out cosmetic milestones as you go. These do not carry over once her banner ends, so claim them during the phase.

Shinku’s signature S-class Arc, Blushing Mirage, sits in the Arc Store for the entire first half. You spend Tri-Keys on the Arc banner for a chance at it.

Phase 2: Iroi banner

Iroi’s banner runs from July 29 to August 19. She is an Anima ranged healer whose healing scales off Max HP, and she buffs ally attack (plus crit damage at higher awakenings). Her standout mechanic deploys up to three sheep summons that act on their own, which is built to keep Shinku alive during her aggressive windows while amplifying her output.

Her signature S-class Arc, The Wrong Gate, appears in the Arc Store across the second half and is likely her best-in-slot option. The extra livery and glider tied to her limited board have not been detailed yet.

How pity and saving carry into 1.2

Limited character boards share one pity system, so your pull count and rate-up progress transfer forward instead of resetting between banners. There is no 50/50 in NTE. When you hit the limited S-class, it is the featured character. Soft pity triggers around 70 pulls, and hard pity guarantees the featured unit at 90.

Because pity carries over, currency saved during the current patch enters Shinku’s board with a head start. If you intend to chase both Shinku and Iroi, banking dice now is the practical move, since each phase only stays live for 21 days.
