Pulling Awakened Star Rage in Jujutsu Zero does not hand you a full moveset. When you first equip it, only one attack is active, and everything else stays locked behind a chain of quests. The full power comes from the Awaken Tree, and that tree only appears after you finish a specific questline tied to the Circle of Five.
Quick answer: Roll the Awk Star Rage special banner until you obtain the technique, equip it, then complete the Recruiter’s Circle of Five trials and the Rescue Amanai quest. After that, talk to the Star Plasma Vessel NPC to open the Awakened Star Rage tree and buy the rest of your moves.

Requirements before you start
The whole progression is gated to high-level characters. The quest givers require Level 4000 or above, so you cannot begin the Circle of Five until you meet that threshold. You also need Cursed Crystals to summon on the banner.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Level | 4000+ for the Recruiter and all trial NPCs |
| Cursed Crystals | 350 per single pull, 3,500 for x10, 35,000 for x100 |
| Redeem code | STARRAGEV2 grants extra currency toward pulls |
| Optional | Infinity Aura speeds up the point-based trials |
Note: You can redeem the code STARRAGEV2 from the Codes menu on the main screen before rolling. A confirmation reading “Successfully redeemed code” appears when it works.

The technique description confirms the plan: it lets you manipulate stars at a cellular level, and it directs you to access the awakening upgrade tree at the Star Plasma Vessel.

Start the Recruiter questline

Clear the Circle of Five trials
The Circle of Five is a set of trials from five different NPCs. Each one gives its own objective, and you must finish every one to keep progressing. Some fights are much faster if you have Infinity Aura, since it clears the enemy waves quickly during the point-based trials.
| Trial NPC | Objective |
|---|---|
| Brother Orin | Defeat Brother Orin |
| Sister Veyra | Obtain 800 Points from spawning enemies |
| Brother Calix | Defeat 3 Brother Calix clones |
| Sister Maren | Obtain 900 Points from spawning enemies |
| Brother Tessik | Defeat the Star Twins (requires Maren’s trial first) |
Talk to each NPC, press F to accept the trial, and complete the objective before moving to the next. For the point trials, stay inside the marked green zone and defeat the enemies that spawn until you hit the target count.

Finish the Rescue Amanai quest
Rescue Amanai is the final step before the tree opens, and it only becomes available after Brother Tessik’s trial is done. The quest note is blunt about the urgency, telling you she does not have much time left.

Open the Awakened Star Rage tree at the Star Plasma Vessel
Once the quest chain is done, head back to the Star Plasma Vessel NPC and press F. A prompt asks if you want to see your Awakened Star Rage progression. Select Yes, and the upgrade tree opens with three paths, labeled Path I, Path II, and Path III.
Nodes are bought with Awakened Star Rage XP and Star Awakening Shards. A shard is a crystallized fragment of awakened stellar cursed energy, used specifically to unlock the Star Rage Awakening, and it drops from a dedicated source rather than from normal enemies. If you have used Awaken Blood Manipulation before, the layout will feel familiar, with one difference: Star Rage V2 has a single Domain instead of three.
| Node | Effect |
|---|---|
| Dead Zone | Unlocks the Dead Zone move (needs 100 MAS, ¥5,000,000, 1 Star Awakening Shard) |
| Precision | Raises CD, ATK%, CR%, and CER% stats |
| Light Eater | Increases grab radius and damage |
| Time Dilation | Cuts move cooldowns by 50% |
| Singularity | Unlocks the Singularity move |
Full Awakened Star Rage moveset
As you buy nodes, the technique fills out into a heavy gravity-and-star kit. The moves lean on pulls, area damage, and a cinematic finisher.
| Move | Key | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Black Hole | R | Spawns a large purple black hole that pulls in and damages enemies |
| Gravity Spike | F | Slams the ground and fires a purple gravity beam upward |
| Shockwave | C | Bursts purple energy waves outward from the player |
| Singularity | V | Cinematic ultimate where multiple black holes crush the target |
There is also a passive to watch. A purple gauge on the left side of the screen fills during combat, and once full, it raises your overall damage and extends your grab range. The technique also swaps in its own purple-and-black dash animations.

How to confirm it worked and common blockers
You know the unlock succeeded when the Star Plasma Vessel opens the three-path tree instead of doing nothing, and when new moves appear in your loadout after you buy their nodes. If your moveset only shows Black Hole, the tree is still locked.
If the Awaken Tree will not open, the cause is almost always an unfinished quest earlier in the chain. Check that every Circle of Five trial is fully complete, and that Rescue Amanai is done, since the tree only appears once that final quest is cleared. The order matters too: Brother Tessik’s trial needs Sister Maren’s trial finished first, and Rescue Amanai needs Tessik’s trial finished before it will start.
From there, it is a grind of Awakened Star Rage XP and Star Awakening Shards to buy every node. Prioritize Dead Zone and Singularity if you want the signature moves first, then round out the stat and cooldown passives to get the most out of the technique in combat.
