Haze Seas: How to Get 3 Sword Style (Location and Full Unlock Guide)

The two routes to unlock 3SS V1, the swords you need at 300 Mastery, and where the Rock Shrine sits.

The two routes to unlock 3SS V1, the swords you need at 300 Mastery, and where the Rock Shrine sits.

Three Sword Style is one of the strongest melee options in Haze Seas, and unlike most swords it is not a simple shop buy or a single boss kill. The base version, 3SS V1, is tied to Zoro’s kit and demands either a rare boss drop or a full crafting setup built on three other swords. Both routes end with the same reward, so you can pick whichever fits your progress.

Quick answer: To get 3SS V1, own Zenith, Shusui, and Enma, grind all three to 300 Sword Mastery, then interact with the Rock Shrine at the Land of Gods. Alternatively, defeat the 3SS Boss (Zoro) at the Snowy Graveyard in the Second Sea for a low-chance drop.

Two ways to unlock 3 Sword Style V1

There are two paths to 3SS V1. The crafting route is guaranteed once you meet the requirements, which makes it the reliable option for most players. The boss route can hand it over faster, but it relies on a low drop chance from the 3SS Boss, so it can take many runs.

RouteWhereWhat it takes
Craft (guaranteed)Rock Shrine, Land of GodsOwn Zenith, Shusui, and Enma, each at 300 Mastery
Boss drop (low chance)Snowy Graveyard, Second SeaDefeat the 3SS Boss (Zoro)

This method never fails once the conditions are met. The catch is the grind: you need three separate swords, and each has to reach 300 Sword Mastery before the shrine will accept them. Start collecting these early, because holding onto them pays off here.

Get Zenith. It is a guaranteed drop from the Zenith Boss, which appears during the Shadow Island storm event roughly every 2 hours and 35 minutes. Because it always drops, this is the easiest of the three to secure.
Get Enma. It has a 10% chance to drop from the Enma Boss, so expect a few attempts before it lands.
Get Shusui. It drops at 5% from Ryummy at Thriller Boat, the final major stop in the First Sea. Keep farming until it drops.

Raise Zenith, Shusui, and Enma to 300 Mastery each. Mastery climbs through use, so equip each sword and land hits on bosses and enemies until all three hit the cap.
Travel to the Land of Gods and interact with the Rock Shrine while carrying all three maxed swords. The shrine grants 3SS V1 on the spot.

Tip: All three prerequisite swords are also strong picks in their own right, so the grind toward 300 Mastery doubles as time spent with weapons you can actually use to clear content.

The 3SS Boss drop route

If you would rather skip the three-sword setup, you can fight for the drop directly. The 3SS Boss, based on Zoro, spawns at the Snowy Graveyard in the Second Sea. Defeating it has a chance to award 3 Sword Style outright.

The drop rate is low, so plan for repeat runs. Bring a strong fruit or fighting style, and consider teaming up on the server to speed up each clear. If you get unlucky here, the crafting route remains the certain fallback.

Upgrading to 3SS V2 in Sea 3

Once you have V1, the upgrade path continues into the Third Sea. 3SS V2 is one of the top-tier endgame swords and is crafted rather than dropped. You build it at Doran the Forge.

V2 replaces the V1 kit with Soaring Phoenix (Z), Purgatory Descent (X), and Three Thousand Skies (C), unlocking across Mastery Levels 0, 25, and 50.

How to confirm you unlocked it

After the Rock Shrine accepts your three maxed swords, or after the 3SS Boss drops it, Three Sword Style appears in your inventory as an equippable weapon. Equip it and check that the Z slot shows Pound Phoenix; that confirms V1 is active and ready to level. If the shrine does nothing when you interact, the usual cause is one of the three swords sitting below 300 Mastery, so finish the grind on that weapon before returning.
