During the event you also start each match with a Self-Revive Device and a Shock Rock effect, and Shock Rocks grant double jump height while dropping more often. Holofoils remain findable after the event ends, just at a lower spawn rate.
How to keep a Holofoil once you find one
Two things commonly cost players a Holofoil. Extracting at a crowded Extraction Site invites theft during the timer, and searching for a Holofoil Burnt Peanut is a dead end because that Sprite has no variant.
