A new otter companion, three rod masteries, a fast-moving whale event, and a limited-time code arrive alongside a long list of fixes.

The July 11, 2026 Minor Update for Fisch adds a river-dwelling otter companion, three fresh rod masteries, and the Fin Whale Migration ocean event. It also ships a redeemable code and a wide batch of bug fixes covering Atlantis bestiaries, mutation visuals, and several rod passives.

Quick answer: Redeem the code OllieAndFinWhale in Settings under the “Other” section. It requires level 25 or higher and expires July 12, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, so claim it before then.

Redeem the OllieAndFinWhale code

Codes are not case-sensitive, and this one drops alongside the update as a short-lived reward. Because it closes on July 12 at 16:00 UTC, entering it early is the safest move.

Open the Settings menu inside Fisch and scroll to the “Other” section, where the code field sits at the bottom.
Type OllieAndFinWhale exactly and confirm. Make sure your account is at least level 25, since lower levels cannot claim it.

You will know it worked when the reward is granted in-game and the code no longer accepts a second entry. If nothing happens, the most common causes are being under level 25 or attempting it after the 16:00 UTC expiry.

Ollie the Otter companion

Ollie is a new companion who swims around rivers looking for fish, with rumors placing his origin near Terrapin Island. His main draw is finding extra goodies while you fish, but you only receive those finds if you hook them yourself.

Note: Ollie can be a little aggressive and may occasionally attack out of affection, so his playful behavior is expected rather than a bug.

Fin Whale Migration event

The Fin Whale is a new arrival to the ocean, defined by its speed and a unique movement pattern. It appears most often during Rainy weather, which is the condition to watch for if you want to encounter it.

To catch it, stay close and follow along until it surfaces. Attempting the catch once it breaks the surface is your best window of opportunity.

New rod masteries

Three masteries join the roster, each tied to a distinct theme and playstyle.

Bug fixes and quality-of-life changes

Atlantis received the largest structural change. It has been split into separate bestiaries for each of its sub-locations, and two of those areas were renamed.

Kraken PoolKraken Lair
Zeus’s Rod RoomZeus’s Sanctuary

Several items are now untradeable, which changes how they move through the Black Market and trading.

  • All Bestiary bobbers
  • All Rod Mastery rewards
  • All Lantern Keeper lanterns
  • All permanent Shipwright-purchasable boats
  • Glider and Advanced Glider
  • Merlin Black and Merlin White

Untradeable boats and bobbers you already own now show as “Out of Stock” in the Black Market. Random Boat, Bobber, and Lantern entries appear at the top of their lists, and default skins can now be favorited and picked by Random Skin.

The remaining fixes span rods, mutations, and event areas:

  • Fixed the Leviathan’s Fang Rod passive.
  • Unified the Nico skins for Nico’s Yarncaster (including Nico Potion and Nico Invasion) and the Companion.
  • Replaced the final Mastery reward for Nico’s Yarncaster with the Golden Nico Companion skin.
  • Fixed the “Current Location” button in the bestiary for all locations.
  • Fixed certain Bestiary bobbers not being awarded.
  • Catching a Photic Terrosunder now ends the active Dust Storm.
  • Fixed various recent issues at Wrath of Olympus.
  • Fixed the visuals on the Tormented mutation.
  • Fixed softlocks with Lullaby, Remembrance, and Riptide Rod.
  • Fixed the mutation chances on Starshell Rod.
  • Removed collision from various Fischfest items.
  • Reverted the size of the Pike abundance at Moosewood Pond.

Between Ollie’s item finds, the Fin Whale’s rainy-weather appearances, and the new masteries, the update rewards active fishing while the untradeable changes reshape how rare rewards circulate. Grab the code before it closes, then head to the rivers and the open ocean to see the new additions in action.
