Pokémon Legends: Z-A hands out free items and side missions through its Mystery Gift feature, ranging from spare Poké Balls to Mega Stones that unlock new forms in the field. Some rewards need a text code, while others just require an internet connection.

Only one text code is currently redeemable, and it unlocks a batch of healing items and Ultra Balls useful for early exploration.

How to redeem codes in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Entering a code takes less than a minute once the Mystery Gift menu is unlocked, which happens automatically as you progress through the early story.
Claimed items are added to your inventory right away, and any gift you’ve already picked up stays visible under the Mystery Gift history so you can confirm it registered.
Mystery Gifts that don’t need a code
A handful of gifts arrive through “Get via Internet” instead of a password, so no code entry is required for these. They still show up in the same Mystery Gift menu once your connection is active.

The Garchompite Z gift is tied to a side mission rather than a battle, so simply holding the stone in your bag won’t add Mega Garchomp Z to your roster. You still need to track down and finish the “Special Distortion Detected” quest after receiving it.
