The Hot Bat Summer event in Fortnite hands out seven free cosmetics tied to six DC-themed questlines. You do not need to finish every quest. Each questline drops a reward once you complete any four of its six challenges, and clearing four in all six questlines unlocks the top prize.
Quick answer: Complete any 4 of the 6 quests in a questline to claim that line’s reward. Do this across all 6 questlines to unlock the Zap-Brella. The event ends on August 20, and questlines unlock on a weekly schedule.
Every Hot Bat Summer reward and how to unlock it
Rewards are tied to progress, not perfection. Since only four quests per line are required, you can skip the two hardest challenges in each set and still earn the cosmetic.

When each questline unlocks
The questlines do not all appear at once. The first set is live, and the rest open on Tuesdays through the summer. Each new set stays locked until you finish four quests in the previous one, so keep clearing them to avoid falling behind.

Note: The whole event closes on August 20, which leaves a tight window for the final Embrace the Bat set. Complete the earlier lines early so nothing stacks up at the end.
The World’s Greatest Vacationer quests
This opening set is the easiest way to earn the Beach Body Batman Banner Icon. Several quests can be knocked out in a single match without changing how you play.

Finishing four of these grants The Decked Knight Spray. Most reward normal aggressive play, and the airborne travel quest goes fast in Zero Build.

Nature is Healing quests
The reward here is The Caped Cooler-sader Pickaxe. Two of these quests ask you to leave trees and plants alone, so plan those runs around passive play.

Clear four to earn The Dark Knight Relaxes Loading Screen. The pickaxe-hit quest is risky, so leave your Sprite in the lobby before attempting it.

Finishing four of these unlocks G’Nort’s Summer Tote Back Bling. The Batman Sprite extraction quest is optional since you only need four out of six.

Embrace the Bat quests
The final questline pays out a Mythic Batman Sprite. Two of these require a Batman Sprite equipped, so hold on to one before diving in.

Confirming a reward is unlocked
Each questline’s cosmetic lands in your locker the moment your fourth quest in that set flips to complete. The next questline stays greyed out until that fourth quest registers, so if a later set is not appearing, check that you have four completions rather than three. Once you have cleared four quests in every one of the six lines, the Zap-Brella is added automatically. Everything must be wrapped up before the event ends on August 20.
