Crimson is an Exclusive unit in Anime Expeditions, added on July 17th, 2026 with the game’s Release (0.0) version. He carries Dark and Magical typings and is modeled on Choso from Jujutsu Kaisen. His attacks stamp enemies with Crimson Mark, which detonates for damage after a short delay.

Quick answer: Reach Level 50 in the Season 1 Battlepass to claim Crimson. The Free track grants the normal unit; the Premium track grants the Shiny version.

How to unlock Crimson from the Season 1 Battlepass

Crimson cannot be summoned from any banner. He is tied entirely to the Season 1 Battlepass, and you receive him the moment you hit Level 50 on the reward track you have access to.

Earn Battlepass EXP by defeating enemies in any mode or completing quests. Repeatedly clearing Story Acts while finishing daily and weekly missions is the fastest way to build levels.
Decide which track you want. The Free track is open to everyone, while the Premium track requires the Premium Pass, which costs 999 Robux. If you want to skip the grind, the “Buy 50 Levels” gamepass (4999 Robux) unlocks every tier instantly.
Claim the reward at Level 50. The normal Crimson sits at Level 50 of the Free track. The Shiny Crimson is at Level 50 of the Premium track, so you need the Premium Pass to obtain that variant.

Crimson base stats and passive

Crimson deals Magical archetype damage with the Dark element and has a placement limit of 2. His base passive is Crimson Explosion: every regular attack applies Crimson Mark, and marked enemies explode after 5 seconds for 15% of the unit’s current damage.

How to evolve Crimson into Crimson (Brother)

Evolving Crimson into Crimson (Brother) gives him a new attack, a new ability, and an extra passive, turning him into a stronger damage dealer. You will need the following materials plus Gold.

Sprite (Red)20

Gold and the various Sprites drop from Daily and Weekly Challenges. You can also craft the Sprites you need from Sprite (Grey), which is collected as a drop across different game modes.

Crimson (Brother) passives and abilities

The evolved form keeps the mark-and-explode loop but layers a ground pool on top of it, and it gains an activated ability called Piercing Crimson. During Piercing Crimson, the unit stops attacking normally.

Crimson Explosion

  • Regular attacks inflict enemies with Crimson Mark.
  • Marked enemies Crimson Explode after 5 seconds, dealing 15% of the unit’s current damage.

Crimson Pool

  • Each Crimson Explode leaves a Crimson Pool on the ground for 6 seconds, with a capacity of 3 pools.
  • Enemies standing on a Crimson Pool take 10% of the unit’s current damage every 2 seconds.

Piercing Crimson

  • On activation, you pick a point inside the unit’s range and fire a continuous stream there for 10 seconds.
  • Enemies caught in the stream take 75% of the unit’s damage every second and are inflicted with Crimson Mark.
  • The unit does not perform its regular attack while this ability is active.

Best trait and placement notes

Unbound is the strongest trait for Crimson (Brother). It grants +350% damage, +10% range, and -5% SPA, which pushes his mark and pool damage significantly higher. Because Crimson has a placement limit of 2, you can field at most two copies on the map at once.

You will know the unlock worked when Crimson appears in your roster after claiming the Level 50 Battlepass reward. The Shiny variant only appears if you claimed it from the Premium track, so if you are missing the Shiny, confirm you own the Premium Pass and reached Level 50 on that track.
