When a Pal takes too much damage in battle or during a raid, it drops into an incapacitated state and can no longer fight, work, or ride. In Palworld 1.0 this is never permanent. You have several ways to bring a downed Pal back, ranging from a free ten-minute wait at your base to a one-shot instant revive on the battlefield.
Quick answer: Drop the incapacitated Pal into your Palbox storage and wait 10 minutes. It returns at full HP and is ready to add back to your party.
Revive Pals with the Palbox
The Palbox is the reliable default. Any Pal that falls in the field or at your base can be moved into Palbox storage to start its recovery. You do not need to stay nearby while the timer runs, so you can head back out to fight or gather while the Pal heals.
If you have not built a Palbox yet, you unlock it at Technology Level 2 and craft it with 1 Paldium Fragment, 8 Wood, and 3 Stone. It is required to set up a base, so most players have one very early.

Add to Google Preferences →Use the Viewing Cage for extra storage while healing
Storing an unconscious Pal inside the Viewing Cage is another way to revive it. Pals placed here regenerate their health slowly over time instead of on a fixed timer. The Viewing Cage also holds 40 slots and expands your overall Pal storage, since those Pals do not count toward your Palbox capacity. It is a useful option when the Palbox is full or you want to recover several Pals at once.
Let base Pals recover on a bed
Pals that are tired or incapacitated at your base can heal by sleeping on a bed. A working Pal will often pick up an injured teammate and carry it to a bed on its own, or you can move the Pal there yourself. Recovery on a bed takes about 8 minutes, which makes it a slightly faster alternative to the Palbox for Pals already stationed at the base.
Craft a Revival Potion for on-demand revives
Most food and medicine cannot bring back a downed Pal, but the Revival Potion is the exception. It is a one-time consumable that restores an incapacitated Pal to health, and it is worth crafting several to keep on hand for long trips away from base. To make it you need the Advanced Medicine Workbench and the Ancient Workbench, and you should be around level 59 to unlock the recipe.
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Cavern Mushroom | 30 |
| Red Berries | 50 |
| High Quality Pal Oil | 20 |
| Cotton Candy | 10 |
| Sulfur | 20 |
To use one, keep the Pal in your active party, open your inventory, and select the Revival Potion to hand it over.
Instantly revive Pals with a healing Pal like Lyleen
Version 1.0 added a way to revive Pals instantly in the middle of a fight. Keep a healing Pal such as Lyleen in your party, summon it onto the field, and trigger its active ability. Any teammate that has been knocked out is brought back on the spot. The catch is a long cooldown on the ability, so you cannot chain revives back to back. It is best saved for a moment when losing a key Pal would end the fight.

How to confirm a Pal is revived
A successful revive is easy to check. The red incapacitated icon clears, the countdown over the Pal disappears, and its HP shows full again for the Palbox and potion methods. Once that happens you can add the Pal back to your active party and send it into combat or back to work. If a Pal still shows the red icon, the timer has not finished yet, or the Pal was not actually moved into Palbox or Viewing Cage storage.
Since a fallen Pal is only sidelined and never lost, the real cost is the downtime. Carry a few Revival Potions or a healing Pal on longer expeditions, keep your strongest companions out of unnecessary danger, and you will rarely have to cut a run short just to nurse a teammate back to health.
