Anime Expeditions runs on a wide stack of resources that touch nearly every system in the game, from summoning fighters to evolving them, rerolling their traits, and buying gear across the different shops. Some drop while you push through Story missions, others come only from raids, tournaments, or limited-time events, and a few are bought with Robux. Knowing exactly where each one comes from stops you from wasting a rare crafting material or a Trait Crystal on a unit that does not deserve it.
Quick answer: Gems and Gold are your two core currencies. Farm Challenge stages (Regular, Daily, and Weekly) for the widest spread of items, grind Story mode for Gold, Gems, and Grey Sprites, then craft Grey Sprites into colored variants only when a unit is ready to evolve. Save Trait Crystals for a Mythic carry.

Fastest way to farm most items
Challenge stages are the single most efficient farm in the game because one rotation feeds several item types at once. Stat Reroll, Stat Lock, Equipment Reroll, Equipment Lock, Trait Crystal, colored Sprites, and Gold all drop from the Regular, Daily, and Weekly challenges. Layer in the shops when you have the matching tokens, and the AFK Chamber will drip Gold passively while you are away.
If you are just starting out, prioritise Gems, Trait Crystals, Gold, Grey Sprites, colored Sprites, Stat Rerolls, Raid Tokens, and Crowns. These move your account forward faster than anything else.

Add to Google Preferences →Core currencies and shop tokens
These are the spendable currencies that keep your account moving. Gems power summoning, Gold covers shop purchases and cosmetics, while Event Coins and Crowns unlock rewards in their own dedicated shops.
| Currency | How to get | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Gems | Story mode, challenges, quests, achievements, codes, events, Beginner Path | Main currency for summoning units |
| Gold | Story mode, challenges, quests, daily activities, events, selling Shiny units, AFK Chamber, Expedition Coin purchases | Buys XP food, crafting materials, cosmetics, and other Gold Shop goods |
| Event Coins | Completing event missions | Spent in the Event Shop |
| Crown | Completing tournaments | Currency for the Tournament Shop |
Gold is easy to earn through normal play, so spend it freely on your roster. Gems are far scarcer, so hold them until a powerful Mythic or Secret unit is available rather than pulling on every banner.

Summoning tickets and luck items
Beginner Tickets pull on the Beginner Banner, which guarantees a Mythic unit once you have banked enough pulls. Complete the Beginner Path chapters as soon as possible to bank more tickets. The two Luck Potions are bought with Robux and temporarily raise your summon rates, so treat them as an optional accelerator rather than a farmable drop.
| Item | How to get | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner Tickets | Beginner Path rewards | Summon on the Beginner Banner, which guarantees a Mythic after enough pulls |
| Luck Potion | Robux Shop | Temporarily increases the chance of a higher-tier unit |
| Super Luck Potion | Robux Shop | Significantly stronger version of the Luck Potion |
Reroll and lock items for traits, stats, and gear
This group controls how you fine-tune a unit after you own it. Rerolls change stat, trait, or equipment potential, while locks pin a good roll so a reroll cannot ruin it. They share almost the same sources, so you rarely need to grind a single shop. Save Trait Crystals for your strongest carry instead of burning them on filler rares.
| Item | How to get | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Trait Crystal | Challenge stages, unit Index, Tournament leaderboards, achievements, events, quests, bundles, codes, Wandering Trader, Event Shop, Spirit City, General shop, Gold Shop | Rerolls a unit’s trait for stronger passive bonuses |
| Stat Reroll | Challenge stages, quests, Expedition Guide reward, Wandering Trader, Event Shop, Spirit City, General shop, Gold Shop, bundles | Rerolls a unit’s damage, range, and SPA potential |
| Stat Lock | Same routes as Stat Reroll (Gold Shop, Event Shop, Challenge stages, shops) | Locks a stat while rerolling the others |
| Equipment Reroll | Challenge stages, shops, Event Shop, Gold Shop, bundles | Rerolls a piece of equipment’s potential |
| Equipment Lock | Gold Shop, Event Shop, Challenge stages, shops | Locks an equipment’s stat potential during a reroll |

Sprites and the Crafting Station
Sprites are the backbone of evolution and equipment crafting. The Grey Sprite is the base material you farm from Story and Challenge stages, and you convert it into every colored variant at the Crafting Station. Each standard color costs 5 Grey Sprites, while the top-tier Rainbow Sprite costs 30. Colored sprites also drop directly from Challenge stages, so you can farm them or craft them depending on what you have banked.
| Sprite | How to get | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Grey Sprite | Story stages, farming, rewards | Base material for every higher-tier sprite |
| Yellow Sprite | Challenge stages; craft from 5 Grey | Unit evolution and equipment crafting |
| Red Sprite | Challenge stages; craft from 5 Grey | Unit evolution and equipment crafting |
| Purple Sprite | Challenge stages; craft from 5 Grey | Unit evolution |
| Pink Sprite | Challenge stages; craft from 5 Grey | Unit evolution |
| Green Sprite | Challenge stages; craft from 5 Grey | Evolution, equipment crafting, ascension |
| Blue Sprite | Challenge stages; craft from 5 Grey | Unit evolution and equipment crafting |
| Rainbow Sprite | Daily and Weekly Challenge stages; craft from 30 Grey | High-level unit evolution |
Because every color eventually traces back to Grey Sprites, keep farming them early and only convert when a specific evolution needs the color. Plan your Grey stockpile around whether you want several standard colors or a single Rainbow.

Other crafting materials
Alongside sprites, a handful of materials feed higher-level crafting recipes. Mana Flask is bought from the Gold Shop, while Cursed Timber only appears during limited-time events. The Holy Pendant currently exists in-game, but its source and purpose have not been confirmed yet, so expect a use to arrive in a later update.
| Material | How to get | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Mana Flask | Gold Shop | Common crafting ingredient |
| Cursed Timber | Limited-time events | Crafting material |
| Holy Pendant | Not yet confirmed | Use not yet confirmed |
Unit XP feeders
Five consumable foods raise a unit’s level when you feed them. They all serve the same purpose, so use whatever you have stocked. Most come from the Gold Shop, with Cursed Boba also dropping in Story modes and Bunny Candy dropping from Raids as a higher-value option.
| Item | How to get | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Cursed Boba | Gold Shop, Story modes | Standard XP |
| Red Flower | Gold Shop | Standard XP |
| Frown Fruit | Gold Shop | Standard XP |
| Delicious Pie | Gold Shop | Standard XP |
| Bunny Candy | Raids | High-value XP |
Raid, tournament, and Expedition currencies
A separate set of resources shows up only in raids, tournaments, and Expedition content. Because several are tied to limited-time events, grab them while their content is live. Raid Tokens and Spirit Tokens both feed dedicated raid shops, and the Spirit City Totem is a strong farming investment because it adds 10% damage inside Spirit City Raids.
| Item | How to get | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel Cells | Expedition events (clearing nodes) | Expedition progression resource |
| Expedition Coins | Expedition mode | Spent in the Expedition Shop for progression items |
| Equipment Scrap | Expedition mode (clearing nodes) | Equipment crafting material |
| Raid Tokens | General Raids | Currency for the general Raid Shop |
| Spirit Tokens | Spirit City Raids | Currency for the Spirit City Raid Shop |
| Spirit City Totem | Spirit City Raid Shop | +10% damage inside Spirit City Raids |

Unit evolution quest materials
Certain units require their own quest-locked material before they can evolve. These are not sold in any shop, so the only way to secure one is to finish that unit’s Unit Quest.
| Material | How to get | Evolves |
|---|---|---|
| Burning Fruit | Flame Emperor Unit Quest | Flame Emperor |
| Joker of the Nonsensical Pirates | String Demon Unit Quest | String Demon |
| Student ID | Cursed Student Unit Quest | Cursed Student |
| Cosmic Magic | Elf Mage’s Unit Quest | Elf Mage |
If you are early in the game, the cleanest path is to grind Story mode and Challenge stages for Gold, Gems, and Grey Sprites, convert those Grey Sprites only when a unit is ready to evolve, and hold your Trait Crystals for a Mythic carry rather than spending them on early rares. Anime Expeditions is still in its early access window, so a few items such as the Holy Pendant do not yet have a confirmed source or use, and the resource pool will likely grow as new modes and events roll out.
