Palworld 1.0 Level Map: Every Area’s Recommended Level

A full breakdown of the safe level range for every region across Palpagos and the new World Tree.

A full breakdown of the safe level range for every region across Palpagos and the new World Tree.

Palpagos is built as a difficulty gradient. You start weak in the southern grasslands and push outward and upward, and the wild Pals get stronger the farther you stray from the beach. Walk into the wrong zone underleveled and an Alpha or a wild boss will end the trip before you can throw a sphere. Knowing the level band for each region keeps you moving forward instead of doing corpse runs.

Quick answer: Begin in the Windswept Hills (Lv 1–15), progress through the central belt into Mount Obsidian and the desert (Lv 30–50), clear Sakurajima, Feybreak, and Sunreach in the 50s and 60s, then enter the World Tree endgame at level 70 and up.

These are the levels your team should reach before entering each zone. Wild Pals generally sit inside the range shown, though certain sub-regions and wild bosses can spawn well above it. Treat the numbers as guidance rather than hard walls. A strong, well-built team can usually handle a zone about five levels early, but pushing further than that invites trouble.

World Tree endgame levels

The World Tree is the version 1.0 finale region and the hardest part of the game. It is smaller than the main map, but everything inside hits far harder. Plan to arrive at level 70 or above, and expect the deepest pockets to demand a maxed-out squad. The level cap rose from 65 to 80 with the 1.0 update, and this region is where that ceiling matters.

Follow the tower bosses to stay on level

The cleanest way to gauge your progress is the tower ladder rather than the compass. Eight organisation towers gate the story, each tuned to a set level, followed by the World Tree finale boss. If you can beat the next tower comfortably, you are ready for the region around it. The levels below are Normal difficulty; Hard mode scales them up sharply.

You need every tower’s Key Sphere to open the ending, so the ladder doubles as your critical path. Sunreach only appears once you clear the Feybreak tower and take the portal at its top, and the World Tree stays sealed until all eight towers are down and its gating quest is finished.

Temperature gates as hard as your level

Reaching the right level is only half the requirement in several zones. The heat of Mount Obsidian and the Dessicated Desert, and the cold of the Astral Mountains and the Land of Absolute Zero, will damage you on their own no matter how high your level. Pack heat-resistant gear before you enter the volcano or desert, and cold-resistant gear before the snow. Dying to heatstroke at level 40 because you forgot to swap armor is a common and avoidable mistake.

Note: The Wildlife Sanctuaries sit off the critical path and hold rare Pals, but their guards will mark you as Wanted if they spot you. Visit them for the catch, not for story progress, and keep in mind that Alpha and wild bosses ignore the ranges above. You can meet a Pal well over the local level even in an early zone, so stay alert while exploring.

The pattern to remember is a green heart in the south, a warm ring of hot and cold corners around it, and a hot endgame that lives offshore and up north. Chase the next tower, carry the right armor for the biome, and the level ranges above will line up naturally as you climb from the Windswept Hills to the World Tree.
