Palworld 1.0: Best Ancient Relic Farm Location for Fast Implants

The Gilded City Ruins route delivers hundreds of relics and Holy Water in about 20 minutes to unlock Disposable Implants.

The Gilded City Ruins route delivers hundreds of relics and Holy Water in about 20 minutes to unlock Disposable Implants.

Ancient Relics are the currency that unlocks Palworld 1.0’s best endgame rewards, and the fastest way to stockpile them is by clearing enemy packs in the World Tree. The relics feed the Ancient Relic Recycler, which produces the Disposable Implants that grant unique passives, plus gems, Work Suitability Books, and top-tier gear schematics.

Quick answer: Farm the Watchtower at the Gilded City Ruins (coordinates -186, 213, 77), run the loop between the upper stairs and the lower spawn area, and capture every Aura Pal you see. About 20 minutes of clearing packs yields hundreds of relics along with World Tree Holy Water.

Best Ancient Relic farm location: Gilded City Ruins Watchtower

The most efficient spot sits near the Watchtower at the Gilded City Ruins, at coordinates -186, 213, 77. This area combines a high density of enemy packs with the best chance in the game for Aura Pals to appear, which is what makes the route worth running.

Bring a Dragon-type Pal with a fast-cooldown area attack such as Dragon Burst. Clearing whole groups in one hit keeps the loop moving and cuts the downtime between spawns.

The farming loop

Head north from the Watchtower and take out any Wistella packs you find along the way.

Walk up the stairs. Checking this stretch is required to trigger an Aura Pal spawn, so do not skip it.
Drop down to the lower area where more enemy groups appear, and defeat every pack there.
Return to the stairs and repeat. Cycling the upper and lower zones keeps packs respawning and gives you constant chances at an Aura Pal.

Why Aura Pals matter

Aura Pals are the reason this route outperforms others. They are not part of the normal spawn pool, and you can spot them instantly by the visible aura glowing around them.

Capture them rather than just killing them, because they can carry World Tree passives worth keeping. They also drop far more relics than standard enemies. A single Aura Pal gives 13 Ancient Relics, 4 Gorgeous Ancient Relics, 1 Glistening Ancient Relic, and a batch of Decayed Ancient Relics.

Tip: Watch for nests along the path and an occasional boss near the stairway. Nests contain an Alpha that can drop extra relics, and any boss present when you arrive is worth clearing before you continue the loop.

Expected haul from a 20-minute run

Running the Gilded City Ruins loop for roughly 20 minutes produces a large stack of relics plus useful secondary drops. Here is what one full round returns.

DropAmount
Decayed Ancient Relics478
Dormant Ancient Relics141
Stunning Ancient Relics54
Glistening Ancient Relics13
Glowing Ancient Relics20
Small Pal Souls1,165
World Tree Holy Water330
Electric Radiant Gems328

The Electric Radiant Gems are a bonus. This is also one of the best routes for gathering the gems used to ascend Electric Pals.

Turning relics into Disposable Implants

Ancient Relics only become useful once you convert them. The Ancient Relic Recycler takes relics together with World Tree Holy Water and returns endgame materials, including the Disposable Implants that grant unique passives, gems for Awakening Crystals, Work Suitability Books, and weapon and armor schematics.

The Recycler does not consume Holy Water per craft in the way many players assume. You only need to load a single Holy Water into it to run the process, so there is no need to hoard it before recycling.

Note: The Disposable Implants that come out of the Recycler are separate from the standard Implant Modules you buy from Bounty Officers or the Arena Merchant and apply at the Pal Surgery Table. If you are chasing World Tree passives specifically, the Recycler route is the one to use.

Alternative and passive relic sources

A second popular route farms Ancient Relics from Neutral Pals in an area packed with Alpha Pals. Bring a Blazehowl Noct and a Katress to boost item drops from every Neutral Pal, and hit the three Alpha Pal spots for the biggest returns. Grizzbolt and Manda Lux along the way also drop relics.

Boss farming looks tempting because bosses and Alpha Pals drop higher-quality relics, but the travel time and respawn waits make it slower overall than continuously clearing packs. Treasure chests and fishing can produce relics too, though both are far less efficient.

For a hands-off option, Expedition Stations pay out Ancient Relics over time. The World Tree’s Forbidden Area expedition and the Subterranean expedition both generate relics while they run. If you also want World Tree Holy Water, though, actively clearing the enemy camps in the World Tree remains the better choice.

Squeezing more out of each loop

A fully upgraded Menasting raises drops from Electric Pals by 80% and can push spawn and drop rates to 3x, which means more special Pals appear during each run. If you commit to maximum spawns, ride a mounted Pal instead of using a glider or wingsuit. The mount has a much wider pickup range, so you collect drops without chasing them across the ruins.

Between the Aura Pal spawns, the steady Holy Water income, and the direct path to Disposable Implants through the Recycler, the Gilded City Ruins loop is the most reliable way to build an endgame relic supply in Palworld 1.0.
