Flame Emperor is a Mythic unit in Anime Expeditions, added with the Release (0.0) build on July 17th, 2026. It carries the Flame element and the Magical archetype, and its whole reason for existing on your board is spreading the Burn status effect across packs of enemies. The design is a nod to Sabo from One Piece.
Quick answer: Summon Flame Emperor from the Standard/Mini Banner at a 0.5% pull rate, with a pity of 400. Once you have it, evolve it with a Burning Fruit, 20 Red Sprites, 20 Yellow Sprites, 1 Rainbow Sprite, and 5,000 Gold to unlock Flame Emperor (Reincarnate).
What Flame Emperor does
Flame Emperor deals Magical archetype damage with the Flame element, and it has a placement limit of 5 copies. Its value comes from the passive rather than raw single-target output.
Wildfire (passive)
Whenever Flame Emperor applies Burn, that Burn jumps to the 3 nearest enemies that are not already burning. In dense waves this turns a single hit into board-wide chip damage, which is why the unit is treated as a Burn applier rather than a straight damage carry.

Flame Emperor drops from the Standard/Mini Banner. The pull rate is 0.5%, and the pity counter caps at 400, so a guaranteed copy arrives at the 400-summon mark if the odds do not hit sooner.
Flame Emperor upgrade stats
The base form runs seven upgrade tiers. Cost is in Yen, and each row lists damage, attack interval (SPA), range, and the resulting DPS.
| Upgrade | Cost (¥) | Damage | SPA | Range | DPS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UPG 0 | 550 | 60 | 4 | 23 | 15.00 |
| UPG 1 | 1,050 | 89 | 3.8 | 24 | 23.42 |
| UPG 2 | 1,450 | 134 | 4.5 | 25 | 29.78 |
| UPG 3 | 2,200 | 179 | 4.5 | 25 | 39.78 |
| UPG 4 | 2,500 | 244 | 7.4 | 26 | 32.97 |
| UPG 5 | 3,050 | 272 | 7.2 | 27 | 37.78 |
| UPG 6 | 3,750 | 293 | 7 | 28 | 41.86 |
Note: DPS dips at UPG 4 because the attack interval jumps to 7.4 seconds even though damage climbs. Higher tiers claw that efficiency back as SPA settles.
Evolving into Flame Emperor (Reincarnate)
The evolution is where the unit gains its ceiling. Gather every material below, then evolve the base Flame Emperor.
| Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Burning Fruit | 1 |
| Sprite (Red) | 20 |
| Sprite (Yellow) | 20 |
| Sprite (Rainbow) | 1 |
| Gold | 5,000 |
The Reincarnate form keeps Wildfire and layers on a new active ability at the top of its upgrade path.
Wall of Fire (ability)
Wall of Fire unlocks on Upgrade 8. On activation, it summons a burning wall on any path within the unit’s range, and every enemy that walks through it is inflicted with Burn. The wall cannot be moved or recast once placed, and it uses a Local cooldown listed at 99999s, so treat it as a one-time trap for a run.
Flame Emperor (Reincarnate) upgrade stats
The evolved form extends to nine tiers, with Upgrade 8 being the one that grants Wall of Fire.
| Upgrade | Cost (¥) | Damage | SPA | Range | DPS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UPG 0 | 550 | 74 | 4 | 23 | 18.50 |
| UPG 1 | 1,050 | 111 | 3.8 | 24 | 29.21 |
| UPG 2 | 1,450 | 166 | 4.5 | 25 | 36.89 |
| UPG 3 | 2,200 | 222 | 4.5 | 25 | 49.33 |
| UPG 4 | 2,500 | 305 | 7.4 | 26 | 41.22 |
| UPG 5 | 3,050 | 339 | 7.2 | 27 | 47.08 |
| UPG 6 | 3,750 | 365 | 7 | 28 | 52.14 |
| UPG 7 | 4,750 | 413 | 6.5 | 30 | 63.54 |
| UPG 8 | 7,250 | 518 | 6.3 | 32 | 82.22 |
Across both forms, the plan stays the same. Lean on Wildfire to keep Burn ticking on as many enemies as possible, then use the Reincarnate’s Wall of Fire as a chokepoint trap once you can reach Upgrade 8. If you are running multiple copies, spacing them so their Burn applications overlap different lanes squeezes the most out of the passive.
