The Drone Launcher is a late-game ranged weapon added in Palworld 1.0 that fires autonomous combat drones instead of bullets. Up to nine drones can be in the air at once, circling nearby enemies and dealing steady damage while you keep moving. Getting the Legendary version comes down to two things: pulling its schematic from a specific fishing spot and gathering a stack of rare crafting materials.
Quick answer: Fish near the World Tree (around -1730, 1341) until you get the Drone Launcher Schematic, reach Level 77 and spend 4 Technology Points to unlock the recipe, then craft it at an Ancient Workbench.

Drone Launcher stats
The weapon runs on infinite ammo and holds a large durability pool, so it can stay in rotation through long fights and boss encounters without frequent repairs.

The schematic drops from a fishing spot at the World Tree. The Legendary tier corresponds to Drone Launcher Schematic 4, and it comes from reeling in a glowing green fish in that area. Drop rates are low, so expect to fish through several catches before it appears.
-1730, 1341. Other pools around the World Tree can also produce the schematic, but this location is the most reliable.
Once a Drone Launcher Schematic sits in your inventory, it unlocks the crafting recipe on its own. The item description notes that keeping it in your bag enables the Drone Launcher recipe at an Ancient Workbench.

Unlock the recipe and craft it
You can also unlock the base Drone Launcher through the Technology Tree. Reach Level 77 and spend 4 Technology Points on it. After that, the weapon can be built at an Ancient Workbench, provided you have the materials on hand.
The Legendary build costs more than the standard one. Both recipes are made at the Ancient Workbench.
| Material | Standard recipe | Legendary recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Ancient Civilization Core | 5 | 10 |
| Ancient Civilization Parts | — | 10 |
| AI Core | 8 | 16 |
| Paloxite Ingot | 70 | 140 |
| World Tree Holy Water | 40 | 80 |
Where to farm each crafting material
Two of these materials come from the world, and two have to be crafted at their own stations. Stock up in advance, since AI Cores and Paloxite Ingots feed into many other high-tier recipes.

Ancient Civilization Core
These drop from Raid Bosses. Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, Xenolord, and Hartalis can all reward the item on defeat, so farming those fights is the way to build a supply.
AI Core
AI Cores do not spawn in the world. Craft them at an Advanced Workshop or an Ancient Workbench. Each one takes the following.
- Computer x5
- Soralite Ingot x10
- Thermal Core x2
- Ancient Civilization Core x1
Paloxite Ingot
Paloxite Ingots are made only at an Ancient Furnace, so unlock and build one first. Each ingot needs the following.
- Soralite x1
- Paloxite x2
- World Tree Holy Water x1
World Tree Holy Water
This drops from Pals in the World Tree region, so clearing enemies there builds your stock. You can also find a Teafant Spring at the World Tree and interact with it; the first interaction hands you 10 World Tree Holy Water for free.
Note: World Tree Holy Water goes into Paloxite Ingots as well as the weapon itself, so gather well past the recipe totals before you start crafting.

Confirm the craft worked
When the schematic is in your bag or the Technology unlock is active, the Drone Launcher appears as a craftable option at the Ancient Workbench. Queue it with every material in place and it moves to your inventory once the bar fills. From there you can equip it and fire off the drones straight away, since it needs no ammo to reload.
