RNG Heroes: How to Progress Faster With the Best Hero Upgrades and AFK Farming

The upgrade order, codes, and offline setup that push you through zones faster in the Roblox roller.

The upgrade order, codes, and offline setup that push you through zones faster in the Roblox roller.

Progression in RNG Heroes comes down to one loop repeated efficiently. You roll heroes, equip your strongest team, kill enemies for Gold and XP, then spend that Gold on upgrades that make the next round faster. The players who move through zones quickly are not the ones with the luckiest pulls. They are the ones who spend Gold in the right order and keep their farming spot fast.

Quick answer: Redeem the code Beginnings for 10,000 Gold and the Assassin, join the Heroplay Studios group for a permanent +10% Gold and +1 Luck, then spend Gold on Luck and extra hero slots before large rolling sessions. Unlock Prestige at level 10, buy Offline Loot in the Upgrade menu, and leave your team farming the highest stage you can clear in 1–2 hits.

Claim the free boosts before you roll

Two rewards give you a permanent head start, and both should be active before you spend any Gold. Codes are entered through the Shop menu, and the group bonus applies automatically once you join.

RewardHow to get itWhat you gain
BeginningsShop menu → Codes10,000 Gold and the Assassin hero
EasyPotionsShop menu → CodesPotions
Heroplay Studios groupJoin on Roblox+10% Gold and +1 Luck, permanent
Finish the tutorial. The Codes field and most menus stay locked until you complete it.
Open the Shop icon on the right side of the screen, scroll to the Codes section, type Beginnings, and press Redeem. Do the same for EasyPotions. You will see the Gold counter jump and the Assassin appear in your hero inventory, which confirms it worked.
Join the Heroplay Studios group from your Roblox profile. The +10% Gold and +1 Luck apply to every action afterward, so this is the single most efficient early move.

Equip the Assassin right away. It bypasses the roll system entirely and hits much harder than the 1-in-2 Warrior, which lets you clear the opening zone fast and build a Gold surplus for real upgrades.

Upgrade priority in the Upgrade menu

The Upgrade menu is a hexagonal grid, and the order you buy from it decides your pace. Luck raises the odds of rolling higher-rarity heroes, and hero slots let more of those heroes fight at once. Both beat pouring Gold into raw rolls.

UpgradeEffectPriority
Luck+50% Luck for better roll oddsHighest, before big rolling sessions
3 / 4 EnemiesRaises max enemies you fight at onceHigh, faster Gold and XP
Extra hero slotsMore active heroes, more total damageHigh, buy after a new rare pull
Stronger Heroes+10% hero damageHigh when kills take 5+ hits
Player branch → Luck I / IIDeeper permanent LuckMedium, unlock early
Loot branch (XP, Gold, Offline)+XP, +Gold, and offline farmingMedium, needed for AFK

A practical example. Spending 5,000 Gold on a single Luck upgrade and then rolling produces far better heroes than spending the same 5,000 Gold on 50 rolls at base Luck. Buy the stat, then roll.

Early on, extra hero slots quietly outperform chasing rarity. Three 1-in-10 heroes attacking together deal more consistent damage than one 1-in-100 hero fighting alone. Open the Player upgrade branch first to reveal Luck I and Luck II, and grab the 3 Hero Slots option as soon as you can afford the 300 Gold.

Manage your team so damage never drops

Every hero card shows a Power stat, and that number is the only thing that matters when deciding who fights. Rarity and appearance are irrelevant if the damage is lower than what you already run.

  • Fill every active slot at all times. Empty slots are wasted damage.
  • When you roll an upgrade, swap out your single weakest hero, not the whole team.
  • Concentrate upgrades on the heroes you actually field instead of spreading them across your inventory.
  • Set auto-roll to delete common heroes like the Warrior once your team is full, so your inventory stays clean.

Prestige and Index upgrades for permanent gains

At level 10 you unlock Prestige. Prestiging resets your Gold and level back to 1 but keeps every hero, item, and upgrade you own, and it advances your rank while granting a Prestige Point. Those points buy multipliers in the Prestige Upgrades tree, such as Prestige Gold I for a x1.5 Gold multiplier. Because your heroes and upgrades survive the reset, you climb back to your old power quickly and keep the multiplier permanently.

The Index tracks every hero and enemy you discover, including Golden enemy variants and larger hero sizes like Huge, Giant, and Colossal. Each new discovery awards Index Gems, which you spend inside the Index menu’s Upgrades tab on permanent boosts.

Index upgrade Effect per level Cost
Luck +10% Luck 1 Gem
Gold +5% Gold 1 Gem
Damage +5% Damage 1 Gem
Roll Speed +2% Roll Speed 1 Gem

Because Index Gems come from discovery, rolling new heroes and pushing into new zones feeds these permanent boosts automatically. Spend Gems as you earn them rather than hoarding.

AFK and offline farming setup

Idle time only pays off if you prepare for it. The goal is a fast respawn spot plus the upgrades that turn passive kills into meaningful Gold.

Open the Loot branch in the Upgrade menu and buy Offline Loot I to unlock offline farming, along with Gold I for +25% Gold. These make idle time actually valuable instead of trickling in.
Raise the Gold Drop and Loot Magnet upgrades so drops collect automatically around your team. Loot Magnet I adds studs of magnet range, which matters when nobody is steering your character.
Park your team on the highest stage where enemies still die in one or two hits and respawn quickly. A stage you clear instantly farms far more over an hour than a harder stage where kills stall.

Note: The Shop lists gamepasses such as 2x Offline Earnings, Auto Loot, and Auto Roll for players who want to strengthen the idle loop further, but the free Loot-branch upgrades cover the essentials.

When to move to the next zone

Zones scale from Starter to Meadows, Dark Forest, and The Beach, each behind a Gold gate. Dark Forest costs 6,000 Gold to unlock and The Beach costs 100,000, so every jump exposes stronger enemies and higher rewards but demands more team power first. Moving too early slows your Gold income because kills take longer.

Use a simple readiness check before paying any entrance fee:

  • Current enemies die in under three seconds.
  • Every active hero slot is filled with rare or better units.
  • You hold at least double the Gold needed for the entrance fee.
  • Your Luck upgrade is high enough to keep pulling upgrades for the harder zone.

If a new zone slows your kills to a crawl, drop back one area and farm for a Combat Damage or Stronger Heroes upgrade, then return. Weigh unlock costs against upgrade costs too. When an area unlock is cheaper than the next Luck upgrade, the unlock usually wins because it opens higher-paying enemies.

The fastest players treat rolling as a tool, not the goal. Keep Luck and slots climbing, prestige for permanent multipliers, feed Index Gems by discovering new content, and let a well-chosen farming spot work while you are away. Progress compounds, and the heroes you need show up as your odds improve.
