What a Cube Sprite does
Cube is a variant treatment, not a brand-new Sprite type. It joins Base, Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, and Holofoil as a collectible layer, and it sits on top of an existing Sprite. A Cube Fishy is still a Fishy underneath, keeping the base Sprite’s main power while adding the corrupted purple appearance as a separate collection entry.
Every Cube variant shares the same passive perk. While you are inside the Storm, the Cube Sprite grants the Overdrive effect, which speeds up your movement and helps you rotate back into the safe zone faster. That matters most during moving-zone phases, where the edge is one of the most dangerous places to be, and it lets you push chest loot on the Storm’s border a little longer before damage catches up.

Finding a Cube Sprite is not the same as owning it. You keep it only if you survive the extraction. Master a Sprite to level 5 and extract it to lock it into your collection permanently, and stacking enough leveled Sprites unlocks free rewards later, including Sprite-themed glider skins.
After the match, open your collection and check the saved entry. It should show the correct base type, the Cube variant label, and your Mastery progress. If the Cube version is not listed there, the Sprite was not secured, usually because you were eliminated before extracting or the extraction was interrupted.
