Mountain Unveiled Walkthrough in Where Winds Meet (Jianghu Legacy Quest)

Trigger the quest at Gasping Cliff, chain iron bridges with Celestial Seize, and beat the Golden Colossus to open the way to Mohist City.

Trigger the quest at Gasping Cliff, chain iron bridges with Celestial Seize, and beat the Golden Colossus to open the way to Mohist City.

Mountain Unveiled is a short Jianghu Legacy quest in the Hidden Mountain region, and it doubles as a main-story beat because finishing it opens the hidden passage to Mohist City in Suixiang. The quest leans on a chain-linking puzzle rather than heavy combat, with one boss fight at the very end. You climb a series of platforms alongside Feng Jisheng, building bridges as you go.

Quick answer: Let your wooden bird crash near Gasping Cliff to auto-start the quest, follow Feng Jisheng and insert the disciple token to open the passage, then use Celestial Seize to link iron chains and lay wooden planks into bridges across each platform. Defeat the Golden Colossus and reach the glowing marker to complete it.

How Mountain Unveiled starts

There is no NPC to speak to first. The quest triggers on its own the moment your wooden bird crashes near Gasping Cliff in the Hidden Mountain area. Once you land, Feng Jisheng joins you, and the first objective appears immediately.

You will need the Celestial Seize ability throughout this quest, since almost every platform requires linking iron chains together. If you do not have it yet, unlock it before attempting the climb, as the whole puzzle depends on it.

Open the hidden passage and build the first bridge

Follow Feng Jisheng to the mechanism and insert the disciple token. This opens the hidden passage and plays a short cutscene.
After the cutscene, talk to Feng and collect the wooden planks. You will use these planks to lay down walkways on top of the chains you link.

Move to the devices nearby and use Celestial Seize to connect the iron chains. This forms the base for your bridge across the gap.

Approach the hologram and interact with it to place the wooden planks over the linked chains, completing the bridge. Another short cutscene plays after this.

Climb the platforms with Feng Jisheng

Move up with Feng and link the iron chains again to reach the next section. Remember that you can unlink chains you have already connected to reroute a fresh bridge when a path is blocked.

On the next platform, a mechanical crossbow starts firing at you. Disable it by throwing an explosive barrel at it, then link the chain and cross to the following platform.
Wait for Feng to reach the platform, then interact with the mechanism there to trigger a cutscene. Afterward, Feng volunteers to operate the mechanism himself.
While Feng handles the mechanism, link one of the chains on the newly raised platform to the one you are standing on. Jump onto the chain and walk across it to the next platform.
Keep linking chains and forming bridges until you reach the platform that connects to Feng’s position, then wait for him to climb up and rejoin you.
Build one final makeshift bridge with the chains and step onto the larger wooden bridge. Check on Feng’s condition to start a cutscene, after which the Heron lowers the bridge for you.

Defeat the Golden Colossus and finish the quest

Carry Feng on your back and keep moving forward across the bridge. A Golden Colossus appears to block the path, and you must defeat it before you can continue.

With the Golden Colossus down, follow the quest marker to the glowing spot ahead. Reaching it triggers a final cutscene and marks the quest as complete.

You know Mountain Unveiled is finished when the closing cutscene plays and the hidden passage to Mohist City in Suixiang opens, letting the main story continue from there.

Mountain Unveiled rewards

Completing the quest hands over exploration progress and Mohist-themed items in addition to the passage it opens.

Reward
Echo Jade
Hidden Mountain Experience
Mohist Tally

The chain-linking mechanic here is the same skill you will lean on for later Hidden Mountain puzzles, so getting comfortable with unlinking and rerouting chains during this quest pays off well beyond Gasping Cliff.
