Legendary weapons are the top damage tier in Palworld 1.0, built for players who lean on raw attack power rather than partner Pal skills. Each one is tied to a specific drop source, and most of those sources have a low base drop chance, so expect repeat runs on default settings.
Quick answer: Legendary weapons come from four main places. Specific Alpha and Legendary Pals drop weapon schematics, world dungeons and Oil Rig golden chests drop others, Sunreach floating-island chests hold the newest guns, and Hard Mode tower bosses drop the World Tree weapons. Once you have a schematic, craft the weapon at the matching workbench.

Legendary weapons from boss Pals
These drop from defeating or capturing a specific Alpha or Legendary Pal. Field bosses respawn, so you can farm the same fight until the schematic drops. Coordinates below point to each Pal’s location on the map.
| Weapon | Pal | Coordinates / Area |
|---|---|---|
| Assault Rifle | Blazamut | -740, -333 |
| Pump-Action Shotgun | Suzaku | 326, 483 (north of Sandstone Plateau watchtower) |
| Handgun | Vaelet | -22, -266 (near Ancient Ritual Site) |
| Rocket Launcher | Jetragon | -555, -1332 (floating islands) |
| Grenade Launcher | Jetragon | -555, -1332 (floating islands) |
| Double Barrel Shotgun | Elizabee | 163, -85 (swamp) |
| Single-shot Rifle | Verdash | 286, 10 |
| Laser Rifle | Lyleen Noct | -626, 307 (Sakurajima Islands) |
| Semi-Auto Rifle | Azurobe | -173, -259 |
| SMG | Beakon | 95, 9 |
| Plasma Cannon | Frostallion | -350, 510 |
| Charge Rifle | Neptilius | 139, 651 |
| Overheat Rifle | Frostallion Noct | 690, 647 (Wildlife Sanctuary no. 3) |
| Energy Shotgun | Azurmane | -1131, -1667 (bottom-right of Feybreak’s blue terrain) |
Jetragon sits in the top-left corner of the map with no nearby fast-travel point, so approach it with a flying mount. Frostallion and Neptilius are Legendary Pals, so bring counters for their elements before you engage.

Several Legendary schematics come from dungeons tied to a biome, or from world exploration. The Old Bow can drop from any open-world chest, and the Flamethrower is pulled from ocean debris using a high-tier fishing magnet.
| Weapon | Source |
|---|---|
| Old Bow | Any open-world chest |
| Crossbow | Dungeons in the grass biome (first area) |
| Compound Bow | Snow Dungeon end chests |
| Semi-Auto Shotgun | Snow Dungeons or Level 60 Oil Rig chests |
| Old Revolver | Desert Dungeons or Level 60 Oil Rig chests |
| Advanced Bow | Feybreak Dungeon chests or Level 60 Oil Rig chests |
| Laser Gatling Gun | Feybreak Dungeons or Level 60 Oil Rig chests |
| Katana | Desert or Volcano Dungeon |
| Metal Bat | Desert or Volcano Dungeon |
| Beam Sword | Feybreak Dungeon |
| Flamethrower | Ocean debris via high-tier fishing magnet |
Oil Rig golden chest drops
High-level Oil Rigs hold golden greater chests that can drop some of the heaviest launchers in the game. The Guided Missile Launcher, Gatling Gun, and Multi-Guided Missile Launcher all appear from Level 55 or higher Oil Rigs. Level 60 Oil Rig chests overlap with several dungeon weapons listed above, giving you a second farming path for those.
Sunreach floating island chests
The newest weapon line hides in chests scattered across the Sunreach floating islands. These are end-game zones aimed at players around level 70 and above, reached after clearing the tower bosses and completing the Key Sphere questline. The following can drop from Floating Island chests throughout the region.
- Mechanical Bow
- Combat SMG
- Prototype Shotgun
- Heavy Assault Rifle
- Tactical Grenade Launcher
- Laser Sword
World Tree weapons from Hard Mode tower bosses
The World Tree weapon schematics drop from the eight tower bosses on Hard Mode, which raises their levels to the 60–70 range. Each boss has a rare chance to drop its assigned schematic once defeated.
| Weapon | Hard Mode boss |
|---|---|
| Beam Scatter | Zoe and Grizzbolt |
| Drone Launcher | Lily and Lyleen |
| Plasma Rifle | Saya and Selyne |
| Beam Launcher | Auri and Shaolong |
These same schematics also surface through the Ancient Relic Recycler and from fishing and locked chests in the World Tree zone, so the tower fights are one route rather than the only one.
Terraria crossover weapons and the Moon Lord raid
A set of crossover weapons ties into the Terraria content. The Legendary Meowmere, Vortex Beater, Nightglow, Excalibur, and Terraprisma all drop from defeating the Moon Lord Raid. To start that fight, place a Celestial Sigil on a Summoning Altar. The Sigil itself drops from the end chest of the Terraria Dungeon, whose entrance is at -422, -766.
Meowmere has a second path. You can unlock it at level 30 in the technology screen for two technology points, skipping the raid entirely if you only want the sword.
| Weapon | Source |
|---|---|
| Meteor Launcher | First-time clear of the arena at 627, 16 |
| Marksman Revolver | Arena shop |
| Core Eject Shotgun | Arena shop |
| Lily’s Spear | Dog Coin merchant (one is at 62, -417) |
Crafting a Legendary weapon once you have the schematic
A schematic on its own does nothing until you build the weapon. Take it to the matching workbench and supply the materials. Many Legendary guns rely on Ancient Civilization Parts alongside refined materials such as Ingot, Refined Ingot, Carbon Fiber, Plasteel, or Hexolite. As a rough sense of scale, the Legendary Semi-Auto Rifle needs Refined Ingot x235, Polymer x67, and Ancient Civilization Parts x25, while the heavier launchers demand far larger stacks.
The World Tree and Sunreach schematics craft at the Ancient Workbench or the Advanced Weapon Assembly Line depending on the item. You know a craft succeeded when the finished weapon appears in your inventory and the recipe becomes available at the bench.
The base drop chance on nearly every one of these weapons is low, so plan to farm the same boss, dungeon, or chest repeatedly rather than expecting a first-try drop. Field bosses respawn on a short cooldown, dungeons and Oil Rigs reset over time, and Sakurajima enemy camps reset once per in-game day, which makes a daily loop the most reliable way to build the full Legendary set.
