For the first time in seven years, Nora Night is not running the pirate radio. Amir Beckett of The Hex takes over Nightwave with Amir’s Shockwave, a fourth-wall-breaking mini-series that ties into a fictional tabletop game from the world of Warframe: 1999. You will know the season has begun when Amir replaces Nora as the Nightwave host. Open Nightwave from the Base of Operations’ Navigation console, the Orbiter’s radio scanner on the left side of the bridge, or the Pause Menu UI. The new mix and its reward tiers appear there once the update is installed.
Nightwave rewards in Amir’s Shockwave
The reward track leans into a 1999 theme. Three items are confirmed so far, with the rest to be shown closer to launch.

- Teisatz Oculus (Drifter/Operator eye accessory)
Nightwave remains a completely free system. There is no purchase and no pay-to-skip option, so rewards come from Daily, Weekly, and Act progress during the season.
Fables and Frontiers: Running Late and how to unlock it
Running alongside the season is a separate six-day KIM mini-narrative called Fables and Frontiers: Running Late. It adds a new room to The Höllvania Central Mall where Amir guides you through a bite-sized take on the in-universe tabletop game. This is a permanent addition to the KIM system and is not tied to the Nightwave mix, so it stays available after the season ends.
To access it, you need to meet all of these prerequisites:
- Complete The Hex Quest, including its finale.
- Reach Rank 5, the highest rank, with The Hex Syndicate in Höllvania.
- Reach a KIM Chemistry of “Close” (Rank 5) with Amir.
Tip: If you have reset your Chemistry progress recently, start Amir’s daily conversations early. Daily Chemistry tasks, birthday messages tracked through the calendar, and giving Amir his preferred gifts all speed up the climb to Rank 5.
Once unlocked, you visit the new chamber in the mall, ring the bell to bring Amir in, and redeem rewards from him in exchange for Hex Standing.
Fables and Frontiers rewards

- Several returning rewards from Nightwave Nora’s Mix Vol. 8
The returning items are not fully detailed yet. They may include the Wirematrix Ephemera from near the end of that mix’s original track, an Umbra Forma, and the AX-52 and Vesper-77 Augment mods (Biotic Rounds and Leaded Gas). The POM computer also gains a new Fables and Frontiers chiptune for the duration of the season.

When the current Nightwave ends
The ongoing season, Time Tempests, concludes at least three hours before Amir’s Shockwave launches. That is your final window to claim everything from it, including the Escuchon Operator/Drifter skin at the end of the reward track. Finish any remaining tiers before the transition, since seasonal Nightwave rewards do not carry over once the new mix goes live.
Expect closer looks at the Globakk Syandana, Kaneshell Atomicycle Regalia, and Teisatz Oculus in the DevShorts leading up to release.
