The Museum in Storage Hunters: Open World turns a single valuable item into a passive income source. Instead of selling a rare find, you place it on display, and it hands you hourly gifts while boosting your overall Luck. The item stays yours the entire time and can be pulled back out whenever you want.
Quick answer: Go to the Shopping Mall, enter the Museum in the center, talk to Julian, pick “Show me the Museum,” choose an item, and pay the Diamond fee. Come back every hour to collect Cash, Diamonds, Luck Drinks, or a rare Showcased mutator.
How to display an item in the Museum
Displaying an item costs Diamonds, and the price scales with rarity. Rarer items cost more to place, but they also carry a higher chance of producing better gifts, so spending a few extra Diamonds on your best find usually pays off.

Add to Google Preferences →Museum reward chances
Museum visitors leave a gift once per hour for each displayed item. The drop is weighted, with Cash by far the most common outcome and the Showcased mutator sitting at the very bottom of the odds.
| Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| Cash | 65% |
| Diamonds | 25% |
| Luck Drinks | 10% |
| Showcased Mutator | 0.25% |
The more valuable the item on display, the larger the Luck bonus you receive while it sits in the Museum. Item value directly affects the size of that bonus, so the rarest object you own is almost always the right choice for the slot.
The Showcased mutator
The Museum update added a special mutator called Showcased. Every time you collect a Museum gift, there is a small chance the gift applies to the item you are currently displaying rather than dropping a normal reward.
When that happens, your displayed item gains the Showcased mutator and earns bonus Luck for as long as it stays on display. Because the mutator can change the object’s value, the amount it is worth may shift once Showcased is applied.

What to display and when to sell instead
The Museum is the strongest passive progression system in the game because it stacks three benefits at once. You get hourly gifts, a standing Luck boost, and the rare shot at the Showcased mutator, all without giving up ownership of the item.
Not every item belongs in the Museum, though. Some finds are worth more in straight cash than the passive rewards they would generate, so reserve the display slot for the single rarest, highest-value item you can spare. Gavel and Trophy items can also go on display if you want to use them for the Luck bonus.
There is no downside to withdrawing later. A displayed item always stays yours and can be removed whenever you decide to sell it or swap in something better, so the only real cost is the Diamonds you pay to place it.
