Throw a Coin (Roblox): How to Farm Money and Boost Luck

Throw a Coin is an incremental simulator where you toss coins into a magic fountain, pull a random item, and sell it for cash. Everything else in the game feeds two numbers, which are how much money you earn and how lucky you are. Push both, and you start pulling the billion-dollar items instead of Rubber Ducks.

Quick answer: Equip the best coin you can afford, buy Luck Multiplier upgrades until you can afford the next coin, fill out your Item Index for free luck, jump to higher Worlds as they open, and play during Admin Abuse events for a big server-wide luck spike.

The throw, sell, and upgrade loop

The whole game is one short cycle you repeat. Stand next to the fountain in the center of the map, tap the coin button on screen, pick your luck boost, and throw. An item drops based on your luck and the coin you have equipped. You then sell that item and spend the cash on better coins and upgrades.

To sell, head to the red sell stand at the back edge of the map, or click the orange “sell” button at the top of the screen to teleport straight to it. When you throw manually, a timing meter appears on the right side of the screen. Landing it on “Perfect” applies a 2.00x multiplier to that throw, which is worth doing when you are hunting a specific rare item.

Item values scale hard. Common pulls like a Soccer Ball or Rubber Duck are worth a few hundred, while high-rarity items such as an Eternal Superyacht or a Mythic Azure Hypercar reach the billions. Because rarer items sell for far more, raising luck is also the fastest way to raise income. You know the loop is paying off when your cash total climbs steadily between throws and the Upgrades stand stops showing “Insufficient funds.”

Coins set your base luck

Your equipped coin is the single biggest luck jump you can make. Each higher tier multiplies your base luck, so buying the next coin does far more than grinding small upgrade steps. Purchase coins at the blue coin stand behind the fountain, reachable with the green “shop” button. Buy the next tier the moment you can afford it.

The early tiers give a clear sense of how fast luck ramps. The Basic Coin sits at 1x luck, Copper jumps to 5x, Fortune to 12x, and Fire to 24x. Getting the Copper Coin as soon as possible is the quickest way to break out of the Common loot pool.

Every way to increase your luck

Luck decides how far the fountain’s drop table shifts toward rare items, so stacking it from several sources at once is the core of real progress. Beyond your coin, the biggest levers are the Luck Multiplier upgrade, the Item Index, the World portal, and Admin Abuse events.

Luck sourceHow it works
Luck Multiplier upgradeBought from the green upgrades stand near the coin shop. Buy levels whenever you cannot yet afford a new coin.
Item IndexFound on the left of the screen. Collecting items across the Basic, Big, and Huge sizes grants large luck bonuses at set thresholds.
Higher WorldsThe World portal is at the edge of the island, right of the shops. Each new World multiplies your luck score by five.
Admin Abuse eventsDuring these live events, admins raise server-wide luck by a large amount for everyone in the game.

The Item Index is easy to overlook because early items feel cheap, but it is free permanent luck. Keep pulling new item types, and you will see a message such as “Unlocked 25% Index Luck Boost!” when you cross a threshold. That boost stacks on top of everything else.

Note: A new-content event listed as ADMIN ABUSE + NEW CONTENT is scheduled for Sunday, August 2 at 2:00 PM, which advertises boosted luck. Those windows are strong times to push progression.

Earn more money per item

Once your drops are consistently worth thousands or more, focus on the Value Multiplier upgrade at the same upgrades stand. It raises how much cash every item gives when sold, which refills your bank faster for the next coin. Early on, favor Luck so you start pulling bigger-ticket items sooner, then swing toward Value once your loot is already valuable.

UpgradeEffect
Luck MultiplierImproves your odds of rarer drops. Starts around $175 per step.
Value Multiplier (Item Value)Increases cash from every sale. Starts around $600 per step.

At the sell stand you get several options. “Sell All” clears your whole inventory in one action and is the right call most of the time. “Sell This” offloads a single item, and “x2 Sell All” doubles the payout on a full clear. Pairing an in-menu Sell All with the stand’s x2 Sell All keeps income flowing while you spend on upgrades.

Use the Mutation Machine on duplicates

The Mutation Machine sits just to the right of the fountain. Feed it copies of the same item and it returns a mutated version worth more than the standard one. Placing more copies raises your chances of a stronger mutation, so hold onto duplicates instead of selling them straight away.

The mutation tiers you can roll are Big, Huge, Rainbow, Astral, and Divine. Because a mutated item sells for noticeably more, saving matching duplicates is one of the better returns on inventory you would otherwise dump for pocket change.

The fastest early-game order

Buy the next coin whenever you can afford it. A higher coin tier is the largest single luck gain, so it always takes priority over small upgrade steps.
Spend spare cash on Luck Multiplier levels between coin purchases. This keeps your odds rising while you save for the next coin.
Keep pulling new item types to fill the Item Index and collect its free luck bonuses across the Basic, Big, and Huge sizes.
Move through the World portal as soon as a new World opens, since each one multiplies your luck by five.
Once your drops are consistently valuable, buy Value Multiplier levels to speed up how fast you refill for the next coin, and save matching duplicates for the Mutation Machine.

Reinvesting is the whole point. Money sitting in your bank does nothing, so pour it back into coins, luck, and value until you outgrow each World. You can jump straight in on the official Roblox experience page and start building toward the rarest item, which the developer advertises at a one-in-twenty-quadrillion chance.
