Over time, cached files from applications like Roblox can accumulate on your Windows 11 PC, potentially causing issues like slower load times, unexpected crashes, or lag during gameplay. Clearing the Roblox cache can help improve performance and provide a smoother gaming experience.

Clear the Roblox desktop app cache

While Roblox doesn’t provide a built-in option to clear its cache, you can manually remove the cached files by following these steps.

Open the Run dialog box on your PC by pressing the Windows + R keys simultaneously.
In the Run dialog box, type %temp% and press the Enter key.
Once the Temp folder opens, select all files by pressing Ctrl + A. Delete all the selected files by clicking the ‘Delete’ icon or pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.
If prompted for administrator permission to delete some files or folders, click ‘Continue’ to proceed with the deletion.
Open the Run dialog box again by pressing Windows + R. This time, type %localappdata% and press Enter.
In the Local App Data folder, locate and open the ‘Roblox’ folder.
Within the ‘Roblox’ folder, open the ‘Versions’ folder.
Inside the ‘Versions’ folder, open both the ‘Cache’ and ‘Logs’ folders one at a time. In each folder, select all files by pressing Ctrl + A and delete them. Be careful not to delete the folders themselves—only the files inside them.
Next, open the Recycle Bin on your desktop, and empty it to permanently delete the cache files from your PC.
Finally, restart your computer to complete the process of clearing the Roblox desktop app cache.

If you play Roblox through a web browser, clearing your browser’s cache can help resolve performance issues. Here’s how to clear the cache on popular browsers.

Clear cache in the Chrome browser

If you use Google Chrome to play Roblox, follow these steps to clear the cache.

Open Google Chrome on your PC.
Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top-right corner of the browser window.
From the drop-down menu, select ‘Settings’.
In the Settings page, click on ‘Privacy and security’ from the left navigation pane. Then, on the right, click on ‘Clear browsing data’.
In the dialog box that appears, check only the ‘Cached images and files’ option. Then, click on ‘Clear data’.

Clear cache in the Edge browser

If you use Microsoft Edge to access Roblox, here’s how you can clear the cache.

Open Microsoft Edge on your PC.
Click on the three-dot ‘Settings and more’ button at the top-right corner of the browser.
From the menu, select ‘Settings’.
In the Settings menu, click on ‘Privacy and security’ in the left sidebar.
Scroll down to the ‘Clear browsing data’ section and click on ‘Choose what to clear’.
Check the box next to ‘Cached images and files’, then click on ‘Clear now’.
