BitLife: How to Complete the Demon Slayer Challenge

The Demon Slayer Challenge is back in BitLife, and it wants you to live the life of a Japanese exorcist who fights ghosts in houses you own. It runs for a full week after going live on July 25, so you have time, but two of its goals lean heavily on luck and can force a few restarts before things click into place.

Quick answer: Start a new life born in Japan, keep aging up until your parents have a daughter, earn a Red Belt in both Judo and Karate, take the randomly available Exorcist job, then buy a haunted house and exorcise 12 spirits inside it.

Set up a Japanese birth and a little sister

Being born in Japan is the easy part. Start a fresh life and choose Japan as your country. Any city works, and your character can be male or female, so this goal ticks off the moment you begin.

The little sister is the frustrating one. You cannot control when your parents have another child, or whether it turns out to be a girl. Keep aging up and hope for a younger sister to appear. If your parents only have boys or stop having kids, restart with a new Japanese character and try again.

Note: BitLife does not check blood relation here, so an adopted or step-sister counts. If you keep getting unlucky, having your parents adopt a younger girl of Japanese heritage and then switching back to your character is a reliable workaround.

Master Judo and Karate

Martial Arts unlocks when your character turns eight. Head to Activities, then Mind & Body, then Martial Arts, and pick either Judo or Karate. Take a lesson every year until you stop earning new belts. A Red Belt is the top rank and counts as mastering that discipline.

Here is the catch. While you live with your parents, they will only pay for one martial art. If you try to start the second one as a child, they refuse. So push a single discipline to Red Belt first, then wait until adulthood for the other.

Once you turn 18, return to the Martial Arts menu and begin the second art. These adult lessons cost money, so build up some savings first. If cash is tight, take a part-time job for a while and come back once you can afford the classes. Keep going until you earn the second Red Belt.

Become an exorcist

Exorcist needs no degree, so you can take it straight out of high school once you turn 18. The trick is that it rarely shows up in the job list.

Open the Occupation tab and go to the Jobs section. Scroll through the listings and look for an Exorcist role.

If it is not there, refresh the list. Aging up one year or fully closing and reopening the app both reshuffle the available jobs. Repeat until Exorcist appears.

Apply and answer the short interview question correctly. Once you pass, you are officially an exorcist and the goal is complete. The pay is low, but you only need the title.

Perform 12 exorcisms in your own haunted house

This is the longest goal because all 12 exorcisms have to happen inside a haunted house you own. First, you need to buy one.

Go to Assets, then Shopping, then Real Estate. Haunted homes are labeled clearly, with the word “Haunted” at the start of the name. They are often cheaper than regular houses.

Check the Hauntedness level before buying and aim high. A more haunted house produces more spirits, which means you need fewer purchases to reach 12. If no haunted listing appears, close and reopen the app or age up to refresh the market.

Open Assets, select your haunted house, and go to the Spirits section. Pick a ghost and choose Exorcise. You can do it yourself to save money. Repeat as new spirits appear until you have completed 12 exorcisms in total.

Exorcisms do not always succeed, and an aggressive ghost can lower your Happiness or even attack your Health, so keep an eye on your stats. Earning a new martial arts belt restores Health, which pairs neatly with the skills you already built for this challenge. If an exorcism fails, closing and relaunching the app before your character dies can turn a bad attempt into a successful one.

How to confirm the challenge is done

Each goal checks off in the challenge menu the moment you meet it, so watch that list update as you progress. After the 12th spirit is exorcised, the final goal completes and the challenge finishes. You then get to open a prize chest for a cosmetic reward, usually a hat or eyewear, that you can wear on any character on your profile.

If you are stuck, the two luck-based goals are almost always the culprit. The little sister and the Exorcist job both come down to random chance, so restarting a life or refreshing the app is often the fastest fix. Everything else is just steady work you can knock out across a single character’s lifetime.
