A rogue arcade machine drops into the Plaza and starts spitting out bricks, and that chaos is your entry point into Ralph’s story in the Pixel Perfect update for Disney Dreamlight Valley. You team up with Vanellope to pull Ralph out of the machine, patch him up, and welcome the Wreck-It Ralph star into the Valley. The update also brings a new Star Path, a fresh summer event, and a batch of quality-of-life fixes players have been asking for.
Quick answer: Pixel Perfect (version 1.24) launches on all platforms on July 29, 2026. It adds Ralph, the Pop City Star Path, the Parks Floating Festival, returning Summer Sizzle and Memory Mania events, Best Friend perks at max friendship, and three new Floating Islands for Storybook Vale owners.
Ralph arrives through a broken arcade machine
Ralph is the only new character in this update, but he isn’t stepping in cold. Vanellope has lived in the Valley for a long while, so the reunion is the emotional core of the questline. A strange arcade cabinet shows up in the Plaza and starts throwing bricks around. Collecting those bricks lets you track down the machine and free Ralph, who arrives bugged and in need of a fix before he can properly reconnect with Vanellope.
Once Ralph is settled, he gets his own villager house and a set of Friendship Quests. Working through those quests and raising your friendship level unlocks exclusive rewards tied to him, including the arcade machine as decor and a new outfit. Expect the usual Wreck-It Ralph touches along the way, such as helping Ralph run a Bad-Anon meeting.

Add to Google Preferences →Pop City Star Path rewards
The Godly Glamor Star Path wraps up before this update, and the Pop City Star Path takes its place on launch day. It runs on the usual free and premium tracks, and you earn Tokens by completing standard and routine duties to spend on rewards.
The theme leans into city life and stage performance. You can unlock new outfits, plenty of city-inspired furniture, concert and stage pieces, an Aristocats-themed clothing set, and a new cat companion. Star Path items may resurface in the Premium Shop in later updates, but that isn’t guaranteed, and they cost more if they do, so earning them during the event is the reliable path.

Summer event schedule
Three limited-time events run across the summer, one brand new and two returning. The new Parks Floating Festival sends you through a portal to a Disney Parks-themed floating island, where you solve weekly puzzles for exclusive prizes. Summer Sizzle brings back marshmallow collecting, S’mores sharing, and daily quests, while Memory Mania adds new quests and a new companion reward for players who already finished earlier runs.
| Event | Dates | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Summer Sizzle | July 29 – Aug. 11 | Returning |
| Parks Floating Festival | Aug. 19 – Sept. 8 | New |
| Memory Mania | Sept. 16 – Sept. 29 | Returning |

Best Friend perks and quality-of-life changes
The most useful changes target friendship and decorating. Reaching level 10 friendship with a villager now lets you Fast Travel straight to them. Spend time with a level 10 villager once a day and you activate the Best Friend Glow, a temporary buff that extends your sprint duration and applies max-level profession bonuses across every skill while it lasts.
Gifting and building have their own upgrades. You can hand villagers more than one gift at a time, and once per day you can re-roll a villager’s desired gifts to speed up friendship progress. For decorating, new bulk removal tools let you clear placed items quickly instead of pulling them one by one.
- Fast Travel to any villager at friendship level 10.
- Best Friend Glow: longer sprint plus MAX profession bonuses for all professions, once per day.
- Give multiple gifts to a villager at once.
- Re-roll a villager’s favorite gifts of the day, once per day.
- Bulk removal tools for faster redecorating.
New spaces to build and explore
Players who own the Storybook Vale Expansion get three new Floating Islands, themed after The Bind, Mythopia, and Everafter, for extra room to decorate. Olaf’s Grand Exhibition also opens two more museum rooms, covering the Sunlit Plateau and Frosted Heights biomes, so it’s worth stocking up on the materials those rooms need. On top of that, the Peaceful Meadow biome gains a set of new fairy-themed crafting recipes made from materials found in that area.
Premium Shop items
The Premium Shop restocks with items bought using Moonstones. Highlights include a new skin that reworks the look of the Dream Castle and other key buildings, a Meteor Shower sky effect, school-themed buildings and furniture such as a School Yard Kit, the Scholar Owl Companion, and the Fantasia Broom Companion.
Release date and platforms
Pixel Perfect launches on July 29, 2026, across every platform, including Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC/Mac, and Apple Arcade. Before it lands, older content closes out, so finish anything still open, including the Picture Pursuit event and the Godly Glamor Star Path, to avoid losing progress.
