Dolls (searched most as “dolls dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox: dress like a doll, with frills, soft colors, neat hair and a doll’s big-eyed face. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode, a pink baby doll in a ruffled knee dress and a white porcelain doll in a long tiered ruffle skirt, and took our own pictures of each step. Both use the same free doll face from the makeup vanity, and every piece and color here is free, so both work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.
Quick answer: For Dolls, wear the pale pink ruffled knee dress from the Dressing Room tops wall with the vanity’s big-eyed doll face and a blonde curly bun, or a long white tiered ruffle skirt with a black bun.
Dolls outfit ideas in Dress To Impress
Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and the spot we used on the Default palette (columns from the left, rows from the top). A fresh Freeplay character starts in the base body: a blank head with no face or hair, a black top, black shorts and bare feet. Set a piece’s colors while it is still a preview, then press “Put On”.
The face matters most for this theme: the base head has no features at all, and the doll face from the vanity gives it the big glossy eyes and blush that make the look read as a doll. We did not add bows, a bonnet or shoes, so both looks are barefoot.
Look 1: Pink baby doll in a ruffled knee dress
Our idea: a sweet toy-shelf doll, with a pale pink frilly dress, a blonde curly bun and the doll face.

The finished look on the Freeplay Runway: the blonde curly bun, the doll face with rosy cheeks, and the pale pink dress with its white trim and frilled hem, barefoot.

From behind, the bun sits high on the head and the white frill shows all around the hem.

Look 2: White porcelain doll in a tiered ruffle skirt
Our idea: an old-fashioned porcelain doll, with a long white ruffled skirt, jet-black hair and the same doll face. It uses a different base piece from Look 1.

On the runway the cream reads white: the black bun and fringe, the doll face, the black base top and the long white tiered skirt with a few small pink flowers on its tiers, barefoot under the hem.

From behind, the black bun sits high over the black base top, and the white tiers fall all the way to the floor.

Add to Google Preferences →Why these looks read as Dolls
A doll look is about the face, the frills and tidy hair: big eyes and blush, ruffles or a full skirt, and a neat bun. Look 1 is the cute baby doll in pastel pink; Look 2 is the classic porcelain doll in white with dark hair, which makes the pale face and the ruffles stand out. That is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.

How to recolor a piece
- Click the piece so it shows on you as a preview, and pick the part with the arrows beside the part name (“1/5: Skirt” and so on).
- Click a heart on the Palette for that part. Step to the next part with the right arrow and set it too; hair often has two parts.
- Press “Put On”. Colors set while previewing stay on the piece you wear.
- To change a piece you already wear, such as the hair, click its picture in the Wearing panel and set the part again. To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture.
Dolls colors on the Default palette
Rows count from the top of the palette, columns from the left. These are the spots we used; Look 1’s dress and the doll face keep their own colors.
| Color | Column | Row | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honey to sandy blonde | 3 | 1 (top row) | Look 1 bun, both parts |
| Cream (reads white on the runway) | 9 (far right) | 1 (top row) | Look 2 skirt, parts 1 and 2 |
| Black | 9 (far right) | 8 (bottom row) | Look 2 bun, both parts |
Dolls pieces to look for
None of these pieces has a name in the game, so look for them by place and shape. All of them are free and worked on our account with no VIP and 0 stars.

| Wearing panel (click the hair’s picture) | Look 2: column 9, row 8 on both parts (black) |
Poses for Dolls
Any free pose from the Poses menu works; a still, posed stance with a hand at the head or the waist suits a doll on a shelf. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.
Building it in Freeplay Mode first
Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and set the colors without a round running out. That matters here: the dress and the skirt are in the Dressing Room while the face and hair are in Lana’s Salon, the pink dress can open when you click the dress beside it, and the skirt needs its colors set part by part before “Put On”. Once a look works, you know which shelf, which colors and which parts to go to when Dolls comes up in a real round. How a theme round works
We have not had Dolls as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.
The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Dolls to roll.
What we have not checked
No round we joined rolled Dolls, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not add bows, a bonnet, pigtails or shoes, did not try a top over Look 2’s skirt, and did not open parts 3 to 5 of the skirt set or find out why its top and hat did not go on with it. We did not try any other vanity face, eye card or nail color. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.
FAQ
What should I wear for Dolls in Dress To Impress?
Go for frills and a doll face: a pale pink ruffled knee dress with a blonde curly bun, or a long white tiered ruffle skirt with a black bun. Add the big-eyed doll face from the makeup vanity to either one.
Can I do Dolls without VIP?
Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, color and the doll face worked on it, with no lock or price on any of them.
How do I get the doll face in Dress To Impress?
Go to the makeup vanity in Lana’s Salon, press E at a chair, open “Feminine” on the right and click the middle card in the 2nd row. It gives the blank head big pale eyes with lashes, raised brows and an open mouth, with rosy cheeks on the runway.
How do I make a porcelain doll outfit in Dress To Impress?
Use the long tiered ruffle skirt from the mannequin on the left side of the Dressing Room tops wall, set parts 1 and 2 to the cream at row 1, column 9 before “Put On”, color the hair black from the Wearing panel and add the vanity doll face. That is our Look 2.
Why does the black top show with the white skirt?
Only the skirt of that mannequin’s set went on us, so the black top of the base body stays visible above the waistband. We did not try another top over it.
Are there bows or a bonnet for the Dolls theme?
We did not add any. The skirt’s mannequin wears a wide hat, but it did not go on with the skirt, and we did not search the hats wall for bows or a bonnet for this theme.
