Apex Legends Season 30 Legend Changes: Bloodhound Rework and Loba Buffs

What is changing for Bloodhound, Loba, and Rampart when the Marked update goes live in early August.

What is changing for Bloodhound, Loba, and Rampart when the Marked update goes live in early August.

Three of the roster’s older Legends are getting reworked or buffed in Apex Legends Season 30: Marked. Bloodhound receives a full kit overhaul that pushes them from a passive tracker toward an aggressive hunter, while Loba and Rampart pick up smaller changes built around speed and staying power. Here is exactly what changes for each Legend.

Quick answer: Bloodhound gets a reworked Passive (enemies leave a glowing trail), a Tactical that adds follow-up snapshot scans, and a new Ultimate called Allfather’s Cloak that cloaks nearby teammates. Loba’s Black Market Ultimate cooldown drops and her Tactical flies faster and further. Rampart moves faster while firing Sheila, and her Amped Cover walls build faster and absorb more damage.

Bloodhound rework: Passive, Tactical, and the new Allfather’s Cloak Ultimate

Bloodhound keeps the tracker identity, but every ability has been retuned so the kit does the tracking work for you. The idea is that you spend less time reading scans and more time chasing down the kill.

Passive: Enemies now leave a clear glowing trail as they move, replacing the older, harder-to-read movement marks. The White Ravens that point Bloodhound toward nearby enemies also fly further, and they no longer need a scan or physical interaction. A quick glance is enough to send them out.

Tactical: The signature scan holds targets longer. After the initial full-body scan finishes, it delivers follow-up “snapshot” scans that keep enemies visible for an extended window. That makes it much harder for a lone player to break contact and shake a Bloodhound squad.

Ultimate: Beast of the Hunt is gone, replaced by the Allfather’s Cloak. Throw it down and it deploys a device that cloaks any Legend who enters its range, granting bonus movement speed and threat vision. Players are not fully invisible, since there is a blue shimmer and an audio cue for nearby enemies, and the cloak lasts up to 12 seconds after leaving the area. Taking damage or firing a weapon removes the effect instantly. Where the old Ultimate turned Bloodhound into a solo hunter, this one is built for the whole squad to close distance unseen.

Bloodhound’s three new Upgrades

A trio of new Upgrade options lets you sharpen the kit toward more aggressive or more supportive play.

Hidden SightRefreshes the Tactical when the Ultimate is used and hides that use from enemy detection
Bird’s EyeSends White Ravens to scout a second enemy squad independently
True PredatorLets Bloodhound recloak after firing a weapon

Loba buffs: shorter Black Market cooldown and a faster bracelet

Loba’s changes focus on speed and keeping the squad supplied. Her Black Market Ultimate now has a reduced cooldown, so the team can restock gear more frequently. That pairs directly with the season’s loot changes, giving her more consistent access to what the squad needs.

Her Tactical bracelet also flies faster and covers more ground, which gives her cleaner repositioning around the battlefield and a quicker exit when a fight turns against her.

Rampart buffs: mobile Sheila and stronger Amped Cover

Rampart’s updates lean into mobility and holding space. She now moves faster while firing the mobile version of Sheila, which makes her harder to hit and better able to follow her squad on a push instead of anchoring in one spot.

Her Amped Cover walls also deploy faster and absorb more damage before breaking, so she can set up defensive positions more reliably in the middle of a fight.

When the Legend changes go live

These Legend changes arrive when Apex Legends: Marked releases on August 3rd, 2026. The reveal is an early preview rather than the complete patch notes, so precise balance numbers land closer to launch. Full details are posted on the official Apex Legends update page.

Apex Legends is free to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through the EA app, Epic, and Steam. Of the three, Bloodhound is clearly the centerpiece, and a squad coordinating around the Allfather’s Cloak could change how teams push and reposition in the opening weeks of the season.
