Palworld 1.0: Why the Mozzarina Hamburger Is the Best Base Pal Food

The recipe, its work-speed and sanity buffs, and three reliable ways to farm Mozzarina Meat for it.

The recipe, its work-speed and sanity buffs, and three reliable ways to farm Mozzarina Meat for it.

The Mozzarina Hamburger is the go-to feed for base workers in Palworld 1.0. It pushes work speed up by 50% while slowing how fast your Pals lose sanity, and every ingredient can be produced at your own base. That combination is what makes it the default late-game choice for keeping a base productive.

Quick answer: Craft the Mozzarina Hamburger at an Electric Kitchen using 1 Mozzarina Meat, 1 Flour, and 2 Lettuce, then place it in a base feed box so working Pals gain +50% Work Speed and +25% Sanity Resistance for 10 minutes.

Mozzarina Hamburger stats and buffs

Eating the dish restores hunger and a little sanity, then applies a timed buff that lasts 10 minutes. The buff also applies to Pals, so a stocked feed box keeps your whole workforce boosted.

Work Speed+50%
Sanity Resistance+25% (slower sanity drain)
Nutrition / Satiety+162

At +50% Work Speed it ties Dumud Chowder for the top spot, but the hamburger’s added sanity protection is the deciding factor for logging sites and stone pits where workers burn out fastest. Note that food buffs never stack. Eating a new dish replaces the old one, so pick one buff type per base session.

Recipe and where to craft it

The recipe is short, and only the Mozzarina Meat needs sourcing beyond your farm plots. Flour comes from milled Wheat, and Lettuce grows on a berry-style plot.

Craft it at the Electric Kitchen. The Large-Scale Stone Oven and Ancient Kitchen also produce it. You need a power source for the Electric Kitchen, so keep a Power Generator running or assign an Electric Pal to Generating Electricity. One craft yields one hamburger. You know it worked when the dish appears in the output slot and can be moved into a base feed box.

Farm Mozzarina Meat by breeding and butchering

The most self-sufficient supply comes from raising Mozzarina at base and processing them for meat.

Breed Mozzarina using Grintale paired in a breeding farm, feeding the farm Vegetable Cakes. Cake is the only food a breeding farm accepts, so keep the chest stocked with it.
Hatch the eggs in the Ancient Hatchery to produce Mozzarina.
Run the hatched Mozzarina through the Pal Disassembly Conveyor to collect meat and milk. Assigning Pals with the right passive skills raises the drop count. Lavish Hospitality grants +100% drops and Service-Minded adds +50%, so stacking those on your butchering Pals returns far more Mozzarina Meat per Pal.

Farm Mozzarina Meat through Pal Expeditions

Expeditions bring in meat passively while you play, and one of them also returns Kinship Peaches. Send Pals out and collect the rewards on return.

ExpeditionMeat yieldDrop rate
Celestial Sakura Cavern (Saya)3–7 meat50%
Free Pal Alliance Illicit Trading Post (Lily, Hard Mode)10–20 meat, plus Kinship Peaches100%

The Illicit Trading Post run on Hard Mode is the stronger option once you can clear it, since it delivers meat every time and adds breeding-fuel peaches on top.

Buy Mozzarina Meat from the Legendary Game Hunter

If you would rather buy in bulk, the Legendary Game Hunter merchant sells Mozzarina Meat for 114 gold each. You can lower that price by stacking discount Pals in your party.

Fill your active party with five Reindrix.
Make sure each Reindrix carries the Noble and Fine Furs passive skills, which pull the purchase price down.
Trade with the Legendary Game Hunter and buy Mozzarina Meat at the reduced rate, then take it back to base for crafting.

How it compares to other base foods

Two other dishes hit the same +50% Work Speed ceiling, so the choice comes down to ingredients and sanity handling.

DishWork SpeedExtra effectNutrition
Mozzarina Hamburger+50%Sanity drains 25% slower162
Dumud Chowder+50%Hunger drains 25% slower; needs Raw Dumud170
Mozzarina CheeseburgerAttack +20%; hunger drains 50% slower288
Salad+30%Cheap early-game filler84

Dumud Chowder matches the work-speed boost but relies on hunted or bred Dumud, while the Mozzarina Cheeseburger is an attack food rather than a work food despite its higher satiety. Salad remains the easiest early filler until your Electric Kitchen and a steady Mozzarina Meat supply are in place. Once both are running, the Mozzarina Hamburger stays fed to your workers because it protects sanity and keeps every ingredient inside your own base loop.
