Big Walk: How to Unlock the Big Pack Achievement With a Backpack

Reach the Red Tower, spot the blue building, and have a teammate strap the backpack on to pop the trophy.

Reach the Red Tower, spot the blue building, and have a teammate strap the backpack on to pop the trophy.

In Big Walk, each player can hold only one item at a time. A backpack changes that, letting you carry a second item on your back so you can juggle multiple puzzles without hiking back to a tower to swap gear. Equipping one for the first time also unlocks the Big Pack achievement.

Quick answer: After crossing the red bridge in the starting area, reach the Red Tower, look toward the yellow maze to spot a blue circular building nearby, walk inside, and have a teammate take the backpack off the central pole and place it on your back. The trophy pops the instant it is equipped.

Backpack location near the Red Tower

The earliest backpack becomes reachable right after you finish the opening section and cross the red bridge. From there, the fastest one to grab sits in a blue structure a short distance from the Red Tower.

Finish the starting area and make your way to the Red Tower. Climb to the top so you can see across the surrounding terrain.
From the top, look toward the yellow maze in the distance. If you have binoculars, use them to scan down the hill. A blue building sits closer to the tower along that same line of sight.

Climb back down from the Red Tower and head toward that blue structure. These buildings are blue, circular, and have a short ramp leading inside, so they are easy to recognize once you are close.
Go inside. The backpack hangs from a pole in the center of the building. Ask a teammate to pick it up and place it on your back.

How to confirm the Big Pack achievement unlocked

The moment a teammate equips the backpack onto your character, a white backpack icon appears at the bottom of the screen. That icon confirms the bag is on. The Big Pack trophy pops immediately after, with no extra objective required beyond wearing it once.

If the trophy does not appear, the usual reason is that no one has actually placed the bag on you yet. You cannot equip it on your own character, so a second player has to complete the action for the achievement to trigger.

How the backpack works after you equip it

Once worn, the backpack lets you carry two items instead of one. One item stays in your hands, and the second rides in the bag. The system leans heavily on cooperation, so a few rules are worth remembering before you rely on it.

ActionWho can do it
Put the backpack on your characterA teammate only
Remove the backpack from your characterA teammate only
Store an item inside the backpackA teammate only
Carry one item in your handsYou

Anything stored in the backpack stays put even if you fall or tumble, which makes the bag more secure than holding an item in your hands. That protection is the main reason to route important puzzle items through the backpack rather than carrying them loose.

Other backpacks across the map

The Red Tower bag is only the first of several. More backpacks sit inside the same style of blue, circular building elsewhere on the map, and each structure holds a single bag. If you are playing in a small group, everyone can grab their own so the whole party gains extra carrying room. Some of these buildings also hold hip bags instead, which attach to your waist for even more inventory space.
