Bauera is the progression system in Beast of Reincarnation that decides how far you can push weapons, facilities, farming, and ranged combat. You raise it by picking up Memory Chips as Emma and Koo explore each region, not by spending experience or skill points. When a facility, upgrade, or interaction shows the “Lack Capability to Perform Action” message, it means the matching Bauera ability is still too low.

How Memory Chips level up Bauera
Memory Chips do not have fixed spawn points. You find them by exploring thoroughly, and Koo helps by marking nearby points of interest on your map as you travel. Anything you gather during a day of exploring goes straight toward Bauera’s abilities the moment you pick it up.
Each ability needs a set number of chips of its own type to reach the next level, so you keep exploring until you have enough. If you collect more chips of a type than the current level requires, the surplus is converted into Amber automatically. Nothing is wasted, and you never need to open a menu to apply the upgrade.
There are three chip types, and each one feeds a single ability. Focusing on only one type will leave the other two abilities stuck, so it helps to pick up everything you come across.

Power ability: weapons and facilities
Power controls how far you can upgrade equipment and how much room your facilities have. Most weapon upgrades only cost Amber, but the sword needs Power at level 5 to reach its full upgrade. If you want the strongest blade, this is the ability to prioritize.
Expanding the incubator or growing chamber is a two-step process. Raising Power first creates the extra capacity, then you use Facility Modules to unlock the actual slot. So more Power chips mean more ingredients to grow, which turns into better battle buffs later on.
Calculations ability: recipes and farming
Calculations lets Kagura research higher-tier recipes. Eating a base recipe boosts your stats, but the Superior and Ultimate versions of the same meal give much stronger buffs, which makes tougher boss fights easier to handle.
The same ability improves Grow Research. At higher Calculations levels, Kagura can harvest more crops and produce more eggs, so your food supply scales up alongside your recipes.
Knowledge ability: ranged combat
Knowledge is built around Emma’s long-ranged weapons, mainly her bow and crossbow. Raising it unlocks their upgrades and increases how quickly Emma draws an arrow. If your build leans on ranged attacks, invest in Knowledge early so your draw speed and weapon tiers keep pace with your enemies.
Fix the “Lack Capability to Perform Action” message
This message appears when you try to use an object or facility that requires a higher Bauera ability than you currently have. It is not a bug. The interaction simply needs the matching ability at a higher level.
You will know it worked when the same interaction goes through instead of showing the message again. If it still fails, the ability has not yet reached the required level, so keep gathering that chip type. Because chips have no fixed locations, careful exploration matters more than running a single farming route.
Which ability to prioritize depends on your playstyle. Power suits weapon and facility progression, Calculations suits cooking and farming, and Knowledge suits ranged builds. Many players raise Power first, since it directly enables the full sword upgrade and opens extra facility capacity, but keeping all three moving forward avoids repeated capability blocks as you push deeper into the game.
