No More Taxes is one of the Dry Tortuga Assassin Contracts in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it asks Edward Kenway to remove a corrupt officer in Havana. The contract pays out in full only if you also clear its secondary challenge, which requires you to strike the target from a hiding spot rather than from open combat.
Quick answer: Travel to Havana in Dry Tortuga at coordinates 214,596, slip into a bush or hay bale near the corrupt officer, wait for him to walk within reach, and trigger the assassination from inside that hiding spot to secure both the kill and the 500 Reales bonus.

Where to start the No More Taxes contract
The contract begins in Havana, Dry Tortuga at coordinates 214,596. Open your map, place a custom marker on those coordinates, and sail or fast travel to Havana to reach the marked start point. The corrupt officer is your single objective, so there is no escort or convoy to deal with before the kill.

Assassin Contracts do not show up on your map from the start. They become available while you play through the Overrun and Outnumbered main quest, and James Kidd introduces them to you once that quest is done. After they unlock, every contract, including No More Taxes, appears in the quest log on your map.

How to get the hiding-spot bonus
The bonus hinges on where you are standing at the exact moment you kill the officer. A hiding spot is a defined concealment point such as a bush, a stack of hay, or a similar hide object. Attacking from open ground, from a rooftop, or during a chase will still finish the objective, but it forfeits the 500 Reales bonus.

Tip: If the officer never strays close enough, use a whistle to lure him toward your position, then strike the instant he is in range.
Reward and how to confirm the contract is done
Completing the contract pays 1,500 Reales for the kill. Landing the hiding-spot bonus adds another 500 Reales, bringing the total to 2,000 Reales. You will see the contract marked complete in your quest log and the objective bonus registered as met once the kill lands from cover.
If the bonus does not register, the most common reason is that Edward left the hiding spot before the kill or made the strike from open combat. Reload the contract, return to a concealment point, and repeat the assassination from inside it to claim the full 2,000 Reales.
