Spirit Isle sits inside Altgard, the Asmodian starting map in AION 2, and it holds a tight cluster of 20 Empyrean Trace nodes spread across its cliffs, ruins, and corrupted flora. Each node is a one-time pickup that feeds your amulet and skill progression once you carry the fragments back to the Altgard Monolith.

Quick answer: Spirit Isle has 20 Empyrean Trace nodes. Each one gives Empyrean Trace: Altgard (Bound) x1 and 6,000 Kina on pickup. Resonate the batch at the Altgard Monolith to apply the rewards.

What each Spirit Isle trace gives you

Every node on the island behaves the same way. When you interact with one, the game confirms it on screen with “Acquired Empyrean Trace: Altgard (Bound) x1” and “Acquired 6,000 Kina (Bound)”. Clearing all 20 therefore hands you 20 trace fragments and 120,000 Kina from the island alone.

  • Empyrean Trace: Altgard (Bound) x1 per node
  • 6,000 Kina (Bound) per node
  • 20 nodes total on Spirit Isle, tracked by the in-game map counter

The fragments themselves do nothing until they are resonated. Taking the stack to the Altgard Monolith converts them into Wisdom Stones for permanent skill points, Amulet Enhance Scrolls, and Monolith levels that raise your stats account-wide.

Collection route for all 20 Spirit Isle traces

The island is small enough to clear in one pass if you move in order and glide between the higher nodes. Open the map before each group so the pins line up with your position, then work the sections below from east to the mountain ridges.

Open the map and mark the pin for trace 1/20. Glide out to the eastern cliff node and interact with it to collect the first fragment.

Sweep traces 2 through 6, which cluster around cliffs, stone pillars, and tents in the central part of the island. Clear them in a single loop before moving on.

Drop down to the coastal cliffside for trace 7. This one is lower than the rest, so descend to the ledge rather than gliding past it.

Head to the withered trees and ruined wooden structures for trace 8. The acquired-trace notification confirms the pickup when you interact.

Work traces 9 through 13 along the high cliffs and dead tree branches. These sit at elevation, so glide from a vantage point and land on each branch or ledge in turn.

Collect traces 14 through 16 around the wooden archways and cliff ledges. Navigate the ledges carefully, since the pins sit close to drop-offs.

Finish with traces 17 through 20 across the red-corrupted flora and mountain ridges. Interacting with the twentieth node completes the 20/20 counter for Spirit Isle.

You know the island is done when the map counter reads 20/20 and no uncollected pins remain. Only after resonating the stack at the Altgard Monolith do the Wisdom Stones, scrolls, and Monolith stat gains actually register.

Altgard trace totals and how Spirit Isle fits in

Spirit Isle’s 20 nodes are a slice of a much larger count. Altgard holds 560 Empyrean Traces in total, matching Verteron on the Elyos side, so the island is one stop on a region-wide sweep. The table below sets out the collectible and travel figures per region for planning the full grind.

RegionEmpyrean tracesDungeon entrancesTeleport statues
Altgard5608561
Verteron5608561
Eltnen1403420
Morheim1403220

Altgard also carries 2 Monoliths, 15 rifts, and 59 hidden cubes across 1,371 possible cube spots, so the island fits into a broader exploration route rather than standing alone.

Eltnen and Morheim ship as part of the Chapter 1 update for levels 45 to 50 and are live in Korea and Taiwan, but not in the global version as of October 2026. The figures are listed for reference only.

Skip the walk with the Altgard Monolith Express Voucher

If you would rather not run every ledge by hand, the Altgard Monolith Express Voucher instantly collects every uncollected Empyrean Trace in the region when used. It is a Special-grade usable item, bound to your account, and stacks up to 1,000.

The voucher has no effect once every trace in Altgard is already collected, so use it before finishing the region by hand, not after. It covers the whole region in one action, including Spirit Isle.

Sealed dungeons on the same map

Sealed dungeons are separate from trace nodes and feed Daevanion progression instead of the amulet. They appear as marked entrances across the map, and Altgard carries 85 of them region-wide, so you can chain them into the same exploration loop as the traces.

Each sealed dungeon is a one-time clear, and the reward package is consistent across entries:

  • Kina x15,000
  • Sealed Wing Featherdown (Bound) x2
  • Statue Scrap: Day Illusion Wings (Bound) x2
  • Daevanion Crystal (Bound) x2
  • Wisdom Stone (Bound) x2
  • Enhance Stone x1,250
  • A unique title tied to that specific dungeon

Because both traces and sealed dungeons sit on the same map and are permanent one-time rewards, the efficient play is to clear the sealed dungeons you can handle while sweeping traces, then carry everything back to the Altgard Monolith in one trip.

Empyrean Trace Items and Express Vouchers by Region

Each region has its own bound trace item, and each trace resonates at a different Monolith. Only the Altgard trace works at the Altgard Monolith, so fragments from other maps cannot be mixed into the same batch.

All five trace items are Special grade, require level 1, and cannot be traded.

Express vouchers

Express vouchers exist for Altgard, Verteron, Lower Reshanta, and Middle Reshanta. All are Special-grade, level 1, untradeable, Usable items that stack to 1,000. The Altgard voucher only collects traces in Altgard, so it will not touch Verteron or the Reshanta regions.

What the resonance rewards are used for

ItemEffect
Splendent Wisdom Stone (Bound)Grants 10 Skill Points when used. Requires level 4 and stacks to 1,000.
Revelation Amulet Enhance Scroll (Bound)Enhances the Revelation Amulet. It comes from the Monolith.
Fierce Battle Amulet Enhance Scroll (Bound)Enhances the Fierce Battle Amulet. Sold for 50,000 Abyss Points, so it does not come from Monolith resonance.

The Revelation Amulet is a Rare, item level 13 amulet that starts at Penetration 100 and Weapon Damage Boost 5%. It enchants up to 10, with +5 adding Penetration 150 and +10 adding Penetration 300. After ten enhancements it can be upgraded through Substance Morph.

Sealed dungeon materials

Sealed Wing Featherdown (Bound) is an Epic material used in Substance Morph to obtain Wings. Statue Scrap: Day Illusion Wings (Bound) is a Rare item for making a special Statue. Daevanion Crystal (Bound) converts into 1 Daevanion Point when used, requires level 10, and also sells for 20 Shugo Coin in the shop.
