AION 2: How to Get the Lesser Abyssal Soulstone and Its Effects

Buy it for 2,000 Abyss Points, engrave it into accessory Soulstone slots, and roll one random PvE or PvP stat.

The Lesser Abyssal Soulstone is a Rare, tier 1 stone in AION 2 that engraves a single random stat onto accessory Soulstone slots. It sits in the Abyssal family, which mixes PvP stat lines into the roll pool alongside the usual PvE stats. It has a required level of 1, so you can start using it the moment you own an accessory with an open slot.

Quick answer: Buy the Lesser Abyssal Soulstone from the Abyss Trade Shop for 2,000 Abyss Points in the Consumables tab, then engrave it onto an accessory in the Enhancement window to roll one random stat.

How to get the Lesser Abyssal Soulstone

The stone comes from a single place. Open the Abyss Trade Shop, move to the Consumables tab, and purchase it for 2,000 Abyss Points each. You earn Abyss Points through PvP activity in the Abyss, so this stone is tied to that currency rather than open-world farming.

This version is bound. It cannot be traded through the market or passed to another player, and it cannot be sold. You keep it in Character Storage or Server Storage until you spend it.

What the Lesser Abyssal Soulstone does

You engrave it onto Soulstone slots in accessories to add a stat. Accessories use Soulstones, while weapons and armor take the matching Manastones, so this stone only fits necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets. The stat you receive and its value are both decided by chance each time you engrave.

To engrave a Soulstone, open Enhancement with N and select its Soulstone tab. Choose an accessory, add the stone, then confirm. Before you proceed, check the “Probability to Acquire” table. A new item has all empty slots filled in one go; for an item with engravings already on it, only the slots you check are rerolled, letting you preserve favored lines.

Each engraving replaces the existing one rather than adding to it. Rerolling may change a stat you already have, and standard Gear Transfer does not move Soulstone engravings. Keep your strongest rolls for accessories you intend to retain.

Possible stats and values

Each roll produces one stat at one of three quality tiers: Basic, Superior, or Ultimate. Higher tiers give bigger numbers but land far less often. The table below lists the value you get at each tier for every stat in the pool.

StatBasicSuperiorUltimate
Attack+1+3+5
Defense+10+30+50
Accuracy Bonus+5+7+10
Evasion Bonus+5+7+10
Critical Hit+5+7+10
Critical Hit Resist+5+7+10
Block+7+10+15
HP+30+60+100
MP+15+30+50
PvP Attack+2+6+10
PvP Defense+20+60+100
PvP Accuracy+10+14+20
PvP Evasion+10+14+20
PvP Critical Hit+10+14+20
PvP Block+10+14+20
PvP Critical Hit Resist+10+14+20

The chance of each stat depends on which group it belongs to, and the odds shrink as the tier rises:

  • Attack, Defense, Accuracy Bonus, Evasion Bonus, Critical Hit, and Critical Hit Resist: 3% Basic, 2.1% Superior, 0.9% Ultimate.
  • Block: 5% Basic, 3.5% Superior, 1.5% Ultimate.
  • HP and MP: 4.75% Basic, 3.325% Superior, 1.425% Ultimate.
  • Each PvP stat: 2.5% Basic, 1.75% Superior, 0.75% Ultimate.

Because the Abyssal pool spends part of its weight on PvP lines, a PvE-only roll has worse odds here than on a regular Soulstone of the same size. Use this stone when you want the PvP stats; for pure PvE accessories, a standard Soulstone lands the core stats more often.

Crafting into an Intermediate Abyssal Soulstone

You can also feed these stones up the Alchemy chain. With Alchemy mastery 90, five Lesser Abyssal Soulstones combine with five Spiritstone Powder and three Professional Ink (Bound) to craft one Intermediate Abyssal Soulstone. The recipe has a base success rate of 72.9% and a 20% combo chance.

The Intermediate version rolls from a higher value table while keeping the same PvE and PvP stat split, so it is the natural step up once you have stockpiled Lesser stones and want stronger accessory lines for Abyss play.
