AION 2 Wisdom Stone Effects and How to Get It

Each stone adds one Skill Point. Regional quests, sealed dungeons, Monolith exchanges, and the Shugo Festival shop all hand them out.

Skill Points are the slow part of building a character in AION 2, and the Wisdom Stone is how most of them arrive. It is a small consumable that turns directly into skill ranks. The game gives it out in lots of places, but always one or two at a time, so it helps to know where they come from.

Quick answer: Using a Wisdom Stone at level 4 or higher grants 1 permanent Skill Point. You get them from regional quests (1 each), sealed dungeon clears (2 each), Monolith exchanges, and the Shugo Festival shop.

Wisdom Stone effect and item rules

The stone does one thing. You use it, and your character gains 1 Skill Point. You then spend that point to raise the rank of an active or passive class skill. The item sits in the Special Points category alongside Daevanion Crystals and Stigma Shards.

Every Wisdom Stone you earn is bound to the character that received it. You cannot sell it, trade it to another player, or move it to an alt through Server Storage. Stones farmed on one character only help that character.

A larger version also exists. The Splendent Wisdom Stone (Bound) has the same Special grade, level 4 requirement, 1,000 stack size, and no-trade rule. Using one grants 10 Skill Points instead of 1.

How to use a Wisdom Stone

Make sure your character is at least level 4. Below that level the stone cannot be used.
Open your inventory with the I key or the bag icon. Go to the consumables tab, where the stone is listed.
Click the Wisdom Stone and choose Use. The Skill Point is added right away, and the stack count goes down by one.
Open the Class Skills menu and put the new point into the active or passive skill you want to rank up. The skill’s rank goes up, which confirms the point was spent.

Resetting allocated Skill Points gives them back for a modest Kina payment. Changing to another build is inexpensive, so there’s no need to keep stones in reserve.

How to get Wisdom Stones from sealed dungeons

Sealed dungeons pay out more per run than anything else. Every clear in the list below gives 2 Wisdom Stone (Bound). Each clear also includes 15,000 Kina, 2 Daevanion Crystal (Bound), 2 Sealed Wing Featherdown (Bound), 2 wing Statue Scraps, 1,250 Enhance Stone, and a title. Verteron and Altgard each have 85 dungeon entrances.

Several of these end in a boss fight. Poacher Captain (level 10) guards Poacher’s Den, Corrupted Deios (level 15) holds the Spiritmaster’s Residence, and Quartermaster Tyius (level 30) waits in Guardian’s Armory. Guardian Spirit Drant and Mutated Dehinon, both level 40, close out the two highest-level caves in Verteron.

How to get Wisdom Stones from regional quests

Regional quests are the steadiest source. Each one that awards a Wisdom Stone gives exactly one, usually together with a Daevanion Crystal (Bound), Kina, a title, and a piece of gear. All of these quests unlock at level 10. Episode quests on the main story path, such as Odyle Collection and Illusion Oratory, do not include a stone, so look for the regional markers.

The list keeps going well past Verteron. Sneaky Drakan, Payback Time, G-G-G-Ghosts!?, Legacy of Illusion, and Forging a New Path all pay a stone. So do the Nine Wonders of Verteron and Nine Wonders of Altgard chains and the long Spacetime Rift series. Asmodian players will find matching regional quests in Altgard.

Searching for an Escaped Fossa

Hithanya tasks you with pursuing a tame Fossa after it strikes a legionnaire and escapes. Follow its trail toward the Thieves Camp, then report to Minos at the Eastern Cantas Campsite to complete the quest. Rewards: 14,000 Kina (Bound), a Wisdom Stone (Bound), a Daevanion Crystal (Bound), 10 Soul Crystal (Bound), Dawn Earrings, and 32,445 EXP.

The Future of Odyle Collection

Shuron fears the Odyle supply is running low, so Lebronus gives you a modified collector to put to the test. Take it south from the Contaminated Marsh to the cave, then return the results to Shuron at Dawn Legion Base. Your rewards are the stone, 5 Odyle (Bound), and a Dawn Bracelet.

Dawn’s Hymn to the Illusion

This one takes the most steps on the list, ten in total. Caelid asks you to escort supplies meant for the Collapsed Verteron Barrier Tower. You check the chests at the Marsh Outpost, notice that items are missing, and then follow Nania to a Hidden Storage in the Eastern Cantas Valley to get them back. It ends with Nania in front of that storage.

Questionable Methods and Creion Experiment

Both level 22 quests pay 21,000 Kina (Bound) and 97,797 EXP on top of the stone. In Questionable Methods, you collect Fafnite from a cart and then help Phernos test Scarlotus magic in a cave near Pamos Farm. Ione is openly against the whole idea. “I absolutely cannot allow it,” she tells him. The reward includes a Facade Ring.

Creion Experiment sends you back to the cave, traveling south from the Contaminated Marsh, and this time you enter Creion’s Secret Place through a door. Etezia is testing a substance she believes could take Odyle’s place, but the experiment goes wrong. You leave with Facade Earrings and a Statue: Selvis (Bound).

Wisdom Stones from Monoliths and Empyrean Traces

Empyrean Traces are floating collectibles scattered across the open world. Some players call them Monolith Feathers. Collect them as you explore, then take them to a Monolith in the same region and exchange them for Wisdom Stones.

Verteron5602
Altgard5602

Each region has exactly two Monoliths, so plan your route around them. Picking up traces while doing quests and dungeons gives you a stack to exchange whenever you pass one.

Shugo Festival shop and Daeva Pass

The Shugo Festival is a limited-time event, so its shop is only open while the festival runs. During the event, you get Shugo Festival Reward Keys by logging in: 1 per day for free players and 4 per day for subscribers. Spending a key on a mini-game earns Centuryroot Tokens, and you trade those tokens for Wisdom Stones at the Festival Shop.

The Festival Shop caps how many Wisdom Stones you can buy in each event period. Check the limit before you spend tokens on anything else.

The Legacy of Flame Daeva Pass also includes Wisdom Stones among its rewards. Even so, most of your Skill Points will come from regional quests and two-stone sealed dungeon clears, with Monolith exchanges adding to the total as you explore Verteron or Altgard.
