The Companion Handbook is Aniimo’s battle pass, and like most live-service passes it runs on two rows of rewards. A free track is open to everyone, and a paid track adds extra creatures, materials, and storage on top. Because Aniimo itself is free-to-play, the pass is an optional purchase rather than an entry fee, so the question is whether the paid rewards justify the spend.
Quick answer: Buy the Advanced Edition (~$9.99) if you want the paid resources and the Prismana Fulmintis Egg; add Collector’s (~$19.99) only if you also want the cosmetics and a level head start. Everything else can be earned by playing.
Companion Handbook editions and prices
There is one progression ladder, and your edition decides which reward row you can claim. Standard is the free track that every player has by default. Advanced and Collector’s are the two paid levels, and only one of them can be active during a single version period.

The separate $4.99 Monthly Pass does not unlock the paid Handbook track. It is its own purchase and should not be confused with either paid edition.
What the paid track actually gives you
Three items carry the real value on the paid row. The first is extra storage, a temporary +5 box increase on Advanced and +10 on Collector’s, which lets you hold more captured creatures. Whether that storage stays permanent after a season ends is not confirmed, so treat it as a seasonal bonus rather than a guaranteed upgrade.
The second is the Prismana Fulmintis Egg, which hatches into a Prismana Fulmintis with a perfect potential rating. Prismana forms are a rarer variant, and this creature works well in both combat and exploration. It is the single line item with genuine gameplay weight, though it is still one creature out of a roster of more than 200.
The third is the Sparkling Cube Aniipod, a special catching tool used to secure Perfect rarity creatures. Paired with the evolution materials on the track, the paid row is aimed squarely at players who want a stronger early collection.
Advanced Edition rewards
The Advanced Edition unlocks the full paid reward row, delivered gradually as you raise your Handbook level. Some of these items also appear on the free track or through in-game challenges, but the standout rewards, such as the Fulmintis egg and its evolution path, are exclusive to the paid tier.

What Collector’s Edition adds
Collector’s includes everything on Advanced and stacks extras on top. On activation you get a +10 Handbook level boost and the larger +10 storage bonus, plus cosmetic items such as an exclusive doll and the Fulmintis Avatar Frame. If you collect cosmetics or want an immediate head start on progression, that difference is what your extra money buys.
If your goal is only the resources and the Prismana Fulmintis, the Advanced Edition covers that at roughly half the price. The gameplay rewards are identical between the two tiers; Collector’s is cosmetics and convenience layered over the same paid row.
Battle Pass rules that change what you get
A few rules affect how much a purchase is worth, especially if you own more than one redemption item. The Handbook itself is an inventory item, and using it activates the current tier for that version period. It stays valid until the version ends.
- Only one paid tier can be active per version period, whether Advanced or Collector’s.
- Extra redemption items cannot stack in the same period; they carry over to a future version and do not expire.
- Upgrading an active Advanced pass to Collector’s within the same period requires a paid upgrade, not a second card.
- Each version can feature a different Handbook-exclusive Prismana egg, so timing decides which creature you receive.
Before redeeming a stored Handbook, check which Prismana egg is live in the current pass. You get the egg active when you redeem, not the one shown when you bought the pack.
You can confirm activation worked when the paid reward row unlocks in the Companion Handbook menu and the claimed egg lands in your inventory. The paid Handbook remains purchasable after launch through the console stores or the official Aniimo shop once your account is linked, though the platform-exclusive pre-order accessories are only tied to the pre-order bundles.
The Companion Handbook is worth buying if you value the paid resources and the perfect-potential Prismana Fulmintis, since that creature is the one reward you cannot simply grind for. For most players the Advanced Edition is the sensible pick, delivering the gameplay rewards without the cosmetic premium. Skip both and you lose nothing essential, because the base game is free and the open world lets you catch and perfect creatures on your own.
