Pebbling is the little brown, skull-wearing Earth Aniimo that tunnels underground instead of dodging, and it sits at the head of a four-way evolution line. Finding one is the awkward part: it does not wander the open fields where most early Aniimo do. It lives underground, and the most reachable pocket is a cave tucked into Nimbus Fields in the Breezy Plains.
Quick answer: Go to Nimbus Fields in Breezy Plains, enter the cave at coordinates -1255, 0716, and glide down to the flooded bottom cavern. Pebbling also lives in Zephyrus Landbridge.
Where to find Pebbling in Breezy Plains
Two areas have recorded Pebbling, and both sit in the Breezy Plains region. They are not remotely equivalent in difficulty.
| Area | Region | Level range |
|---|---|---|
| Nimbus Fields | Breezy Plains | Lv. 17–21 |
| Zephyrus Landbridge | Breezy Plains | Lv. 47–57 |
Zephyrus Landbridge is a late zone built for level 47 and up, with 58 chests and 18 ecological points spread across it. If you are still working through the early Breezy Plains content, the Nimbus Fields cave is the one worth walking into.

The cave runs deep and drops vertically in two places, so bring a flying or gliding Aniimo in your party before you head in. A leaf-type glider handles the final water shaft cleanly.

How to confirm you have Pebbling
Once one is yours, open the Aniimo management screen. Pebbling shows up there with its portrait, gender, level and CP, alongside the rest of your roster. A freshly caught one at level 12 sits around 314 CP, so anything in that ballpark is normal for an early catch.
Its Aniilog entry also fills in at that point, logging Pebbling as a Lumin stage, Earth element, BREAK role Aniimo with a one-line description about eating minerals.
Pebbling stats, trait, and skills
Pebbling’s base attribute total is 412, weighted toward survivability and bar damage rather than raw attack.

| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| HP | 83 |
| BREAK | 79 |
| ATK | 68 |
| M.DEF | 74 |
| P.DEF | 52 |
| REGEN | 56 |
| Total | 412 |
Its mobility skill is Tunnel, which burrows it underground and makes it immune to all ranged attacks while draining stamina. The catch is that pound-style skills can knock it back out into the air, so tunneling into a heavy melee enemy is not a free ride.
The trait Earth Affinity is what makes the tunnel worth using. While in the Tunneling state, Pebbling can still cast skills and deals 30 percent extra BREAK, which turns it into a cheap way to chew through enemy break bars.
| Skill | EP cost | Power |
|---|---|---|
| Earth Spikes | 20 | 62 |
| Stone Shell | 10 | 30 |
Earth Spikes throws a line of stone spikes forward that pierces everything in its path, and both skills carry the BREAK tag. Stone Shell is the cheap single-target option, firing a shell at whatever you are locked onto. Its innate attack is a close-range Earth swing that also contributes BREAK. On the Homeland side, Pebbling comes with Carry and Earth, both at level 1.
Pebbling evolution: Lavazar, Geodeback, Magmarex, and Minespine
Pebbling branches twice, which is why it is worth catching early. At level 38 you choose between a Fire path and an Earth path, and each of those has its own Nova form at level 48.

| Form | Stage | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Gamma | Lv. 38 Pebbling | |
| Gamma | Lv. 38 Pebbling | |
| Nova | Lv. 48 Lavazar, soaking in the hot spring pool, Blaze Stone x3 | |
| Nova | Lv. 48 Geodeback, Loam Stone x3 |
Both Nova forms have to be unlocked before you can trigger them. Magmarex opens up after you defeat Alpha Magmarex, and Minespine after you defeat Alpha Minespine. Geodeback keeps the Earth typing and the Earth Affinity trait, pushing its attribute total to 495 with 102 BREAK and 99 HP.
Pebbling has no alternate forms, so there is no collection bonus tied to hunting variants. One good catch in the Nimbus Fields cave is enough to cover the whole line, and since both level 38 branches come off the same creature, raising a second Pebbling is the only way to hold Lavazar and Geodeback at the same time.
