The Emberpup Highland Form is the No. 001 slot’s regional variant, and it does not appear anywhere the basic Fire-only Emberpup does. It is a Lumin Stage DPS with a Fire/Earth element line, and it lives in exactly two places on the Breezy Plains map. Everything below is about finding one and getting it into your Aniilog.

Quick answer: Catch a wild Highland Form Emberpup in Russet Highlands or Zephyrus Landbridge. The canyon on the western edge of Russet Highlands, near the Beryline Vale border, is the most reliable spot.

Emberpup Highland Form location in Aniimo

Two habitats carry this form, both inside Breezy Plains. Russet Highlands is the lower-level of the pair and the one most players reach first.

Russet HighlandsBreezy Plains45–50
Zephyrus LandbridgeBreezy Plains47–57

Inside Russet Highlands, the dependable spawn is the grassy canyon on the western side of the zone, close to where it borders Beryline Vale, around coordinates -2728, 1547. Wild ones here sit at roughly the zone level, so expect a Lv. 46 target. Russet Highlands also has 29 transporters scattered through it, which makes repeat trips to the canyon quick once you have unlocked a nearby one.

Spawns are not dense. Beyond the canyon, they are scattered across the northern half of Russet Highlands, so plan on a short sweep rather than a single fixed patrol route.

What to bring before the hunt

  • Character level in the mid-40s, since the zone runs to Lv. 50.
  • At least a couple of Anipod Mega capture tools.
  • Base catch chance on a wild Highland Emberpup is 38 percent, before HP, level and pod bonuses.
  • Breaking it gives a ×1.5 catch multiplier, and a backstab gives another ×1.5.
  • It sleeps at night, and the Sparkling version rolls at 1 in 20,000.

An Anipod Mega on a full-health Lv. 46 target already reads around 83 percent, so you do not need a long fight to make the throw worthwhile.

How to catch the Emberpup Highland Form

Travel into Russet Highlands and drop down into the western canyon. The wild Emberpup wanders the open grass here, often near the glowing crystal formations.
Check the creature before you commit. Its level appears above it, and the Highland Form is visually distinct from the base Emberpup thanks to its rock-toned, wind-shaggy coat.
Equip the Anipod Mega and aim. The targeting reticle appears over the creature and the catch percentage is displayed on screen, so you can back off and soften it up if the number looks low.
Throw the pod. If it holds, the creature is removed from the field and a drop is left behind, marked by a green beam of light.

Run over and collect the drop to finish the capture and register the entry.

How to confirm the capture registered

Collecting the drop triggers a card animation that shows No. 001 Highland Form Emberpup with the tags Lumin Stage, DPS and Hustle. It also grants Exp+350 and displays “Emberpup Special Form collection progress increased. Collaboration Ability Level +1!” Seeing that message confirms the form was recorded and the family collection bonus increased.

To find more, open the map and switch to the Habitats tab for this entry. Spawn zones show up as highlighted grid squares, covering the canyon and the northern stretch of Russet Highlands.

The Earth half of its element line is the real difference from the base form, and it shows up in the skill list as Pebble Kick. Its trait, Scorching Flames, raises damage against elementally countered targets by 25 percent, and its mobility skill Hustle burns stamina for extra movement speed in the field.

Both kicks are dodge-into-dive attacks. Land the dodge with Fire Kick and it deals 120 percent damage plus a 20 percent damage buff for 20 seconds; Pebble Kick instead applies Lockdown to everything it hits for 8 seconds. Fire Bolt is the ranged option, stacking two Fire Debuff stacks for 5 seconds and holding to aim.

Evolving your Emberpup Highland Form

The Highland line keeps its regional identity as it grows, but it is location-gated at every step. At Lv. 12 it becomes Highland Flameruff, and the evolution must be performed while you are standing in Russet Highlands. The Nova step to Highland Scorchhowl needs a Lv. 20 Highland Flameruff, Blaze Stone x3, and the destination unlocked by defeating the Alpha Scorchhowl, again inside Russet Highlands.

That means the canyon trip is worth more than one catch. Grabbing a spare gives you a second copy to level toward the Nova record while the first one stays in your party, and it keeps you inside the only region where the line can actually evolve.
