Aniimo Operation: Egg Heist — How the Extraction Mode Works

Operation: Egg Heist is Aniimo’s extraction mode. A team of one to three Pathfinders drops onto the Lost Isles, fights through wild creatures and traps to reach the Lost Sanctum, digs a rare egg out of a nest, and races to carry it back to the Egg Boat before the timer runs out. The catch that defines everything else: faint once and you lose your whole backpack along with your equipped gear.

Quick answer: Reach the Veteran Pathfinder level to unlock the mode, submit one egg (or bank enough Eggshell Coins) to satisfy the escape condition, then evacuate through the Egg Boat without fainting to keep your haul.

What Operation: Egg Heist is and how to unlock it

Egg Heist is a real-time PvPvE mode set in the Lost Isles. In Team Mode you queue as a single team of one to three players, and the whole 30-minute run is spent against the island itself: Umbrabow guardians, floor traps, and the clock. You can play it solo, though the mode is built around cooperative runs.

Access opens once you hit the Veteran Pathfinder level, so this is intermediate content rather than a day-one activity. The Egg Heist area itself runs at level 50.

How a run plays out, from beach to boat

Land at the Ancient Harbor. Your team spawns on the beach beside its Egg Boat with 30 minutes on the clock. The beach creatures, chests, and debris piles are safe income before you touch the Sanctum, and every egg you submit later returns to this shore.
Find the entrance to the activated Sanctum. Search the map with your team to locate the way in. Two doors lead inside, and the side entrance drops you straight into the deeper rooms where the better loot and harder fights are.

Dig an egg from a nest. Egg nests sit in guarded rooms as broad dark mounds. Clear the guards first, then dig. Once you twine with the egg you swap your fighter for a slow-rolling egg, so you do not want enemies still standing.
Roll the egg to the exit. While twined you can jump and dash, though the dash has a long cooldown. Untwining is instant, so if you get cornered you can pop back to your fighter, deal with the threat, and twine again. Pin the exit on your map before you pick the egg up.
Submit at the Egg Boat and evacuate. Roll the egg to the boat on the main island and submit it; it is sent to you by mail. The boat accepts more than one egg, so you can head back in for another nest if the timer allows. When you are done, interact with the boat again to trigger a safe evacuation.

Escape conditions and how the payout is shared

You cannot leave the island for free. The escape conditions are listed on the left of the screen, and they usually ask for one egg plus a set amount of Eggshell Coins. You earn Eggshell Coins by defeating enemies inside the Sanctum and taking their loot, and higher-rarity items are worth more coins.

You only need to complete one personal objective to leave with something. Submit a single egg, or collect the required Eggshell Coins, and the evacuation counts. A cautious “submit one and run” play is a legitimate strategy.

Submitted eggs are shared across the whole team only on a safe evacuation. If the evacuation fails, each player keeps only their own eggs. That single rule is the core tension of the mode: a clean team extraction multiplies the reward, while a botched one leaves scraps.

Fainting forfeits everything. If you go down during a run, you lose every item in your backpack plus what you have equipped. On a solo run there is nobody to revive you, so prepare your loadout for what you can afford to lose.

Difficulty tiers and their rank gates

Team Mode has three standard tunings, and higher difficulty pays more. Normal is open to everyone, while Hard and Nightmare require a seasonal Egg Heist rank first. The launch build adds a high-difficulty Chaos Mode on top and expands the pool of obtainable egg types.

DifficultyRank requiredReward tier
NormalNoneUncommon
HardRising Egg Scout IIIRare
NightmarePro Egg Snatcher IVEpic
Chaos ModeHigh-difficulty tier

Step up when your gear can handle it, not just when your rank allows it. Hard wants the epic-tier amplifier and unit with chips socketed and a main Aniimo around level 55 to 60. Nightmare wants top-shop gear or a strong premade, because one death still costs the whole loadout.

Rewards and the Eggshell Coin shop

The headline prize is the Darkler Egg, which hatches a dark version of a normal Aniimo. These work like shiny variants in other collecting games: the dark forms have no stat differences from the standard versions, only a different appearance.

Eggshell Coins spend in the Egg Heist Shop on eggs, keys that open locked Sanctum rooms, and backpacks that let you carry more loot out. The prices below are in Eggshell Coins.

Between matches you also spend earnings on permanent Egg Heist talents, which carry into every future run. There are 28 of them across common, rare, and epic rarities, ranging from small stat boosts to a once-per-match self-revive that only works while a teammate is alive.

How to know a run succeeded

A run only banks when you trigger a safe evacuation at the Egg Boat. The exploration success screen at the end confirms it and tallies what you brought out, including the number of eggs extracted and the total currency gained. If you faint before evacuating, none of that carries over, so the priority every run is getting off the island alive with at least one objective complete.
