Aniimo, the free-to-play open-world creature-catching RPG from Pawprint Studio, now has a firm launch date. It arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android, with pre-orders for two cosmetic editions already live on PlayStation.

Publisher Kingsglory and developer Pawprint Studio have set September 16, 2026 as the global launch day. That date replaces the earlier Q3 2026 window, which was first shared during a summer showcase before the exact day was locked in.
A Global Closed Beta (“Pawprint Test”) ran on Steam starting July 9, 2026, ahead of the full release. There is no separately confirmed unlock time or time zone for the launch, so treat September 16 as the confirmed calendar date.

Aniimo launches across consoles, PC, and mobile at the same time. On PC it is available through three storefronts, while mobile players can grab it from the App Store and Google Play.

Regional pricing for the Advanced Edition runs £7.99 / €9.99 / ¥1,500, and the Collector’s Edition is £18.99 / €23.99 / ¥3,000. The Prismana Aniimo Egg hatches at the Outpost Hatchinator into a Prismana Form Aniimo with Perfect Potential, and the Evolution Material feeds the branching evolution of that Companion Handbook-exclusive Aniimo.
Note: Because the core game is free, the editions only add cosmetics and battle pass rewards. You do not need to buy them to play at launch.
What you play at launch
Aniimo is set on the continent of Idyll, where players take the role of Pathfinders and collect creatures called Aniimo. You catch them using Aniipods and traps, with different creatures appearing based on the environment, weather, and time of day. Most Aniimo can evolve, which drives the collecting loop.
A “Twine” system lets you take on the form and abilities of the Aniimo you collect to solve puzzles, win battles, and traverse the world by gliding, diving, or burrowing. The game also carries a life-sim layer, letting you return to your Homeland with a personal RV to plant crops, place decorations, and interact with other players.
Competitive play centers on a three-player PvEvP mode called “Egg Heist,” which drops teams into real-time searches and battles across the Lost Isles. Solo, co-op, and versus options are all supported.
Subscription services
Aniimo has not been announced for Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online. Since the game is free to play, you can install it directly from your platform’s store without a subscription.
