Russet Highlands holds the bulk of Charstone, with 27 gathering points spread through creatures of level 45 to 50. Charstone itself is a common Evolution Material, a pick-up you feed to your creatures when it's time to advance them. The remaining points sit in Driftwise Meadow, six of them, tied to slightly tougher level 52 to 54 territory. That makes 33 points in total across the two areas, so the Highlands is where the real volume lies and where most of your gathering runs will start.

Nearly every one of these spots has Ferric Charstone standing beside it, so you'll rarely gather in isolation; chests turn up alongside roughly half of them, and loose items scatter near about a third, enough to justify the detour. For the Highlands, teleport to Twister Peaks at Bloom and cover the 220 m on foot; for Driftwise Meadow, drop in at the RV Park and manage the slightly longer 320 m. Charstone feeds into evolving your creatures, so a decent haul saves you doubling back later.
