Diyo is the DIO-inspired ability in Anime Ability Arena, a Roblox battlegrounds game where you earn Yen by landing hits and knocking out other players, then spend that Yen on new movesets. Diyo sits near the expensive end of the roster, above Sukuno at 37,500 Yen, and it is unlocked entirely through in-game currency rather than Robux.

Quick answer: Save 55,000 Yen, open the character menu in the lobby, select Diyo, and confirm the purchase. The ability equips from the same menu and gives you Punch, Dash, Stand Barrage, and Road Roller.

Diyo unlock cost and how to buy it

Diyo is bought with Yen from the character list in the lobby, the same place every other ability is listed. There is no gamepass, no code, and no separate quest attached to it. The only requirement is having 55,000 Yen in your balance when you press purchase.

Earn Yen by fighting. Every hit you land on another player pays out, and knockouts pay more, so staying in fights is worth more than surviving on the edge of the map.
Return to the lobby and open the character menu. Scroll the roster until you reach Diyo, listed at 55,000Y.
Confirm the purchase. A “Successfully Purchased” message appears on screen and the price tag on Diyo is replaced by an equip option.
Equip Diyo before joining the arena. If you skip this, you will spawn in with whatever ability was previously selected.

If you would rather shortcut the grind, Yen bundles are sold for Robux in the Store under the Currency tab, topping out at 40,000 Yen for 879 Robux. That still does not cover Diyo on its own, so some fighting is unavoidable either way. The game itself is playable from the Anime Ability Arena experience page on PC, mobile, tablet, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Diyo moveset and controls

Diyo runs on the standard four-input layout every ability in the game uses. Two of those are your basic attack and your movement option, and the other two are the moves that define the character.

DashYQRepositioning and closing distance
Stand BarrageRTERapid close-range damage

Stand Barrage is the move you will press most. It fires off a stream of hits at short range, which suits the pay-per-hit Yen system well, and it is the ability that shows up on the HUD most often during extended fights.

Road Roller is the heavier option. It lands as a single explosive ground impact rather than a stream of hits, so it works best as a finisher or against a grouped set of opponents instead of as an opener.

How Diyo plays in the arena

Diyo is a close-range fighter with no ranged pressure tool, so the whole kit depends on getting next to someone and staying there. Dash is your only approach option, which makes it worth holding rather than burning the moment a fight starts.

Matches run on a mountainous island with grass and sand platforms, stairs, and open edges. Servers hold 18 players, so fights frequently turn into three or four people hitting each other at once, and Diyo’s barrage happily collects hits from everyone in range.

The map edges are the biggest hazard. Fighting near the water is a fast way to lose a match without an opponent finishing you, and it happens most often mid-combo when you keep pressing forward. Pull the fight back toward the stairs or the central platforms when you notice the shoreline behind you.

Note: Fights on the stairs favour Diyo. Opponents have limited room to back away, which keeps barrage hits connecting for longer than they would on flat open ground.

Checking that Diyo is equipped

Once you spawn into the arena, the ability HUD lists your four inputs. If it reads Punch, Dash, Stand Barrage, and Road Roller, Diyo is active. If the barrage and slam names are different, you bought the ability but never equipped it, which is the most common reason players think the purchase did not go through.

The other thing that trips people up is currency. Yen and Robux purchases are separate, and Diyo is Yen-only, so buying a Robux-locked ability such as Sorcerer or Ultra Instinct will not put Diyo in your inventory.

Diyo is not a beginner unlock, and at 55,000 Yen it sits well past the early roster where prices climb in small steps. If you are still working through cheaper abilities, the practical route is to pick one you already own, learn its ranges properly, and bank hits until the balance is there. Diyo rewards that patience with a kit that is simple to read and punishing at point-blank range, but it gives you nothing to fall back on when an opponent keeps their distance.
