Anime Apocalypse Gadget Tier List (May 2026)

Anime Apocalypse Gadget Tier List (May 2026)

Gadgets in Anime Apocalypse sit in your secondary slot and decide whether a Nightmare run ends in a clean clear or a respawn at the lobby. The current meta rewards hard crowd control, raw damage windows, and full invulnerability over passive stat boosts, so most healing and taunt-style gadgets fall well behind the top picks.

Quick answer: Run Black Hole or Rage in the gadget slot for general use, switch to Infinity for boss-heavy content, and reroll out of Medkit and Basic Shield as soon as a Legendary or Mythic option is available.

Anime Apocalypse gadget tier list (May 2026)

Rankings reflect performance across Raids, Survival, and Infinite mode at mid to late progression. Gadgets are evaluated on crowd control, survivability, and damage contribution rather than rarity alone.

AInfinity, Conqueror's Haki, Energy Shield
BTime Stop, Gravity Field
CBeacon Taunt
DMedkit, Basic Shield

S-tier gadgets: Black Hole and Rage

Black Hole is a Mythic gadget that creates a gravitational pull, dragging zombie hordes into a single point and dealing damage as they cluster. That grouping turns area-of-effect ultimates from abilities like Coyote and Pride into full-wave wipes, which is why it remains the strongest all-purpose pick in Survival and Infinite mode. It is the only gadget that contributes damage, control, and setup at the same time.

Rage is an Epic gadget that boosts both damage and movement speed for a short window. The damage multiplier scales especially well with multi-hit moves and ultimate rotations, so it is the preferred choice in Raids when you want to burst a boss inside one cooldown cycle. For gem and coin farming, the speed component also shortens wave clears.

A-tier gadgets: Infinity, Conqueror's Haki, Energy Shield

Infinity is a Legendary gadget that grants 15 seconds of full invulnerability. It is the longest safety window in the game and the most reliable counter to Desert boss enrage phases and dense Infinite waves. Players who keep dying to boss mechanics rather than damage output should slot Infinity over Rage.

Conqueror's Haki is a Legendary shockwave that instantly removes weaker enemies in a wide radius. It is excellent for resetting chaotic Survival rooms but loses value against tanky elites and bosses, which keeps it out of S-tier.

Energy Shield provides a sturdier protective barrier than the basic version and absorbs enough damage to matter in mid-game content. It sits below Infinity because the protection ends when the shield breaks, while Infinity ignores damage entirely for its duration.

B-tier gadgets: Time Stop and Gravity Field

Time Stop is a Mythic gadget that freezes enemies for a short window. It shines in Raids when paired with a teammate using Black Hole or Rage, since it locks down boss positioning during a burst. Outside of coordinated play, it is a stall rather than a solution, since enemies resume attacking the moment the freeze ends.

Gravity Field is a softer crowd-control option that pulls enemies but does not deal the area damage Black Hole provides. It can stabilize tight rooms, but is generally outclassed once Black Hole is unlocked.

C-tier gadget: Beacon Taunt

Beacon Taunt is an Epic gadget that drops a beacon to redirect enemy aggression. It can buy a teammate time in solo Survival or in tight chokepoints, but late-game mobs frequently destroy the beacon in one or two hits. Without reliable uptime, it cannot compete with damage or invulnerability gadgets in higher difficulties.

D-tier gadgets: Medkit and Basic Shield

Medkit is a Rare gadget that restores roughly 50 HP to you and nearby allies. By Nightmare difficulty and World Five content, single zombie hits routinely exceed 50 HP, so the heal does not meaningfully change survival outcomes. Healing drops from waves cover most emergencies anyway.

Basic Shield offers a small absorption barrier that breaks under one or two hits from late-game enemies. Both gadgets occupy the same slot that could otherwise hold Black Hole, Rage, or Infinity, so they should be swapped out as soon as a stronger pull is available.

How to get gadgets in Anime Apocalypse

Gadgets come from the Gadget Gacha. Open it from the lobby Gadgets NPC or by pressing the T key, then spend Normal Spins or Lucky Spins to roll.

Step 1: Press T in the lobby to open the Gadget Gacha menu. Confirm you have at least one Normal Spin or Lucky Spin in your inventory before rolling.

Step 2: Use Lucky Spins when chasing higher-rarity gadgets like Black Hole or Infinity. Lucky Spins improve the chance of Legendary and Mythic outcomes compared to Normal Spins, so save them for focused reroll sessions rather than casual single pulls.

Step 3: Watch the pity counter. After 50 rolls, you are guaranteed a Legendary gadget, and after 100 rolls, you are guaranteed a Mythic gadget. Plan large rolling blocks around code rewards so the pity progress and bonus spins overlap.

Spins also drop from defeating zombies during regular runs, so consistent Survival and Infinite play slowly builds your spin pool even without redeeming codes.

Reroll priority

If your current gadget is in C or D tier, the upgrade order that most improves run safety is straightforward. Replace Medkit or Basic Shield first, then drop Beacon Taunt once a damage or invulnerability option appears.

  • Replace Medkit, Basic Shield, or Beacon Taunt with any A-tier or higher gadget.
  • Aim for Infinity if your runs end on boss mechanics or surprise burst damage.
  • Aim for Black Hole if your ability deals strong AoE damage and you want a faster clear.
  • Aim for Rage if you already dodge well and want shorter Raid kill times.

Note: Gadget balance shifts whenever the developers patch new content, so re-evaluate your slot after major updates rather than committing every Lucky Spin into a single target. Black Hole, Rage, and Infinity have held the top of the meta through current patches and remain the safest long-term investments for any build.
