Anime Expeditions: How to Craft and Reroll Equipment (Roblox)

Where each piece drops, how to build it at the Armory Forge, and how to reroll substats without wasting resources.

Where each piece drops, how to build it at the Armory Forge, and how to reroll substats without wasting resources.

Equipment in Anime Expeditions adds stats and, on unit-specific pieces, a passive that changes how a character fights. There are two ways to obtain the gear you want. You can farm a story region on Mastery difficulty, or you can build the piece directly at the Armory Forge using materials from the Expeditions game mode.

Quick answer: Farm the matching story region on Mastery for a 5% drop with a 20-clear pity, or craft the piece at the Armory Forge inside the Expedition Hub. The Hexed Blade is the only piece that never drops from Mastery and must be built at the Crafting Station instead.

Two ways to get equipment: Mastery drops and the Armory Forge

Unit-specific gear is tied to a specific story region. Clearing that region on Mastery gives a 5% chance per clear to drop the matching piece, and a 20-clear pity guarantees it if you have not received it by the twentieth run. These odds are a live-service value, so confirm the percentage and the pity counter shown on the Mastery card before you commit to farming.

If you would rather not gamble on drops, the Armory Forge lets you build the same gear directly. It sits inside the Expedition Hub and uses materials collected from Expeditions. Recipes can ask for region-specific and general materials plus Gold, and they can change, so verify the item icon, matching unit, ingredients, and any evolved-form requirement before you press Craft.

Note: The Hexed Blade for Shadow (Divine) does not appear in any Mastery pool. It is built at the Crafting Station rather than farmed.

Unit-specific equipment and its Mastery region

These pieces only equip on the listed character, and several need the evolved form to slot in. Each one drops from its region’s Mastery stage at 5% with 20 pity, and almost all can also be crafted at the Armory Forge.

The stats are only part of what these pieces do. Each carries a passive that activates only on its intended unit, and most reach full effect on the evolved form.

Standard equipment and where it drops

Standard gear fits on any unit. It has no unit-locked passive and generally rolls smaller numbers than unit-specific pieces, but it is the fastest way to add stats early. Each piece drops from a matching story region.

EquipmentStatsSource
Kunai+1–10% Damage, -1–5% SPASchool Grounds
Katana+1–10% Physical Damage, +1–5% DamageFlower Forest

Magic Book+1–10% Magical Damage, +1–5% DamageKing’s Tomb
Shinigami Sword+5.41% Crit Chance, +3.28% Damage; +0.84% damage per enemy in range (max 15)TBA

The Shinigami Sword figures come from a recorded sample, not a fixed roll. Substats vary between copies, so inspect your own piece before comparing builds. Damage type also matters. Physical Damage and Magical Damage only help a unit tagged that way on its current panel, so recheck the tag after any evolution.

Crafting equipment at the Armory Forge

Farm Expeditions to collect the crafting materials the recipe needs. Region-specific materials such as Cursed Timber, Lush Dirt, and Aqua Shard come from School Grounds, Flower Forest, and Rose Kingdom, while Equipment Scrap and Fuel Cell drop across those same regions.
Open the Armory Forge inside the Expedition Hub and select the piece you want. Confirm the item icon and the unit it is built for so you are not crafting gear for the wrong character.
Check the ingredient list, the Gold cost, and any evolved-form requirement before you press Craft. Recipes can change, so the values shown on the current recipe screen take priority.
To build the Hexed Blade for Shadow (Divine), use the Crafting Station instead. It is the only unit-specific piece that never appears in a Mastery pool.

How to reroll equipment stats

Because each substat rolls inside a range, most pieces will not land ideal values on the first pull. Two items adjust that. The Equipment Reroll rerolls the substats, and the Equipment Lock holds one substat in place so only the rest change.

Both come from Daily and Weekly Challenges. You can also buy them from the Gold Shop, Raid Shop, Spirit City Raid Shop, and Event Shop. In the Gold Shop, an Equipment Reroll costs 2,500 Gold.

Confirm you have the right piece for the right unit. Do not spend rerolls on a placeholder item meant for a different character.
Pick a useful line for the kit. Match Damage, SPA, Range, type damage, or Critical stats to the unit’s role before you start rerolling.
Lock the high roll you want to keep with an Equipment Lock, then reroll the remaining stats so you do not lose progress. Read the confirmation screen before spending.
Test the result on the same stage and placement. Compare clear time, coverage, and boss outcome, and stop once you hit a playable roll instead of chasing a small cosmetic increase.

How to confirm a piece is equipped and working

Open the Items menu and equip the piece to the correct unit. Unit-specific gear refuses to slot onto anything but its assigned character, so if it will not attach, you are trying to use it on the wrong unit or an unevolved form. Once it is equipped, the unit’s stat panel updates with the new bonuses.

Passives that require the evolved form or a set upgrade level only trigger once those conditions are met in a stage. The Hexed Blade’s Winged Spirit, for example, activates at Upgrade 3, so you will not see it until the unit reaches that point mid-run. Keep one usable roll before spending locks and repeated rerolls, and treat any TBA line as unknown rather than a hidden bonus.
